Painting a Picture

Swimming with Brody

Last Monday we went for a swim with our friends Mrs. Brittney and Brody. Brody will be two in January and he is such a good swimmer!! It was amazing! It was fun to soak up some sun in cool water!

A Day with Braiden

We were so excited Braiden came to stay with Grandmama and Granddaddy for the day on August 1st. We just had to go spend some time with him! Lily Grace and Braiden are about 5 months difference in age and are so cute together! I wish we could get them together more because they really had a lot of fun together. Here are LOTS of pictures from our day.
Braiden loves his Uncle Marty bunches!
When Granddaddy got home from work he got us out a yummy watermelon to eat!
Grandmama giving Lily Grace some watermelon.

Lots of watermelon for the pregnant woman, ha!
Granddaddy would take turns giving them each a bite.

Lily Grace's first time to sit on Stormy!

Stormy got some watermelon to eat too!

Braiden really wanted to pick Grandmama's tomatoes. He came really close here!!

She really wanted to sit down in the bucket but it was just too small!

Grandmama got out the big bucket so she could sit down in the water.
Braiden came outside to see what Lily Grace was doing.
He wanted in too!!

Four Wheeler Time with Granddaddy!!
They would go ride around the block and bring us back pretty flowers.
How sweet is that?
What a wonderful day! We look forward to getting back together hopefully soon!

Family Night Out

These were from July 30th. Before the busy time of school starting back and football season AND Cooper coming, we decided to have a family night out to the movies. Even though Lily Grace had already seen Ice Age, we took her back to see it again. It was such a cute movie. We watched it in 3D. It was really neat! Lily Grace wore her glasses for most of the time and ate lots of popcorn. We had a great time and there are no two other people in the world I would rather be with!

Bama Girl Reunion

Each year I plan a little reunion for the girls I graduated with from Bama. This year we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and to a movie. It was a lot of fun catching up with the girls. There are 20 of us and this time there were only four of us that could make it. I was disappointed there weren't more girls but I will keep planning them as long as a few will come! It was great to see them and I wish all the girls a great year at school!

A Fun Beach Trip

Last Thursday, Marty, Lily Grace and I left that afternoon to meet Grandmama and Granddaddy at the beach. We were really excited to get away for a few days and spend some time with them! We got down there around supper time and ate a quick bite then headed out to the beach. Lily Grace was excited about the beach and water instantly. She would ask the water in come back and to go away. She would love for the water to come over her feet but then when the water would go away, I think she felt like she was about to fall. It was pretty funny to watch her expressions. I think she really enjoys the beach more each time we go and especially the pool!

Playing in the ocean with Grandmama and Granddaddy

The next morning playing in the sand with Granddaddy
After spending some time out on the beach we headed to the pool. She loves to relax on floats.
That night after a yummy dinner at The Oyster House, we took a nighttime swim.
Lily Grace loves when her Daddy throws her way up in the air!
I loved her expressions when she landed in his arms.
How sweet!
Lily Grace liked to "swim like a fish" as she would say. On the first day you would really have to hold her tight but then she got braver and braver letting you just put one hand under her belly.
Relaxing in her float Grandmama got for her.
We had lots of birds outside our condo. So Saturday morning we had a couple of biscuits left and Lily Grace and I fed them. There would be tons of them flying up to you wanting you to throw them food. Lily Grace loved it.

Lily Grace kept asking to go way out in the ocean but really only wanted me to hold her. It scares me to go too far out and my balance isn't the best now a days so I wouldn't take her out as far as she wanted. So we went to get a boat. She loved the boat in the room!

Pretending to sleep in her boat.
Lily Grace, her Daddy and her lizards, no it's not a real one!
Out in our boat. She sat in for a little bit but then something spooked her and she wasn't as crazy about it anymore. She had more fun with it in the room!
It looks like we are way out there in this picture!
We headed back to the pool. She loves being in the water. She got to where she would "jump in" off the steps and side. She really didn't jump far but you can see here what she was doing. She thought she was so big though!
Saturday night we went to the Wharf for dinner and little walking and shopping. We ate at Guy Harvey's and then looked at all the big boats out back. Lily Grace looked so cute in her little dress MawMaw Billie Jean made her. I just had to put it on here.
Our family beach pictures

Sunday morning we hated to leave because we had so much fun! We headed to church and afterwards we ate at Lamberts. Yummy!
The waitress gave Lily Grace a balloon. Looks like she is getting tired.
Getting a little more tired.
And she is gone! I would love to say she slept almost the whole way home but nope, just thirty minutes. She also only slept thirty minutes on the way down to the beach. But we can not complain because she was great the entire time both ways! We are so lucky to have such a good little traveler!
Thank you Grandmama and Granddaddy for inviting us along for your beach trip. We enjoyed our first trip with you guys and hope it is not the last! We had a blast and look forward to another trip hopefully next year. We love you both! Thank you for everything!
