Playing Outside

The day finally came that I have been waiting on since Lily Grace was born! Yesterday the weather was perfect, Lily Grace was in a great mood, and we didn't have anything going on. We finally got to go outside, lay on a blanket, play with Hogan and soak up the warm sunshine! We spent a couple of hours outside and had the best time! I love Spring time!! I was hoping to do it again today but it is very cloudy and looks like there may be rain! Maybe we can play outside with Daddy tomorrow! :)

Lily Grace loves outside!

Hogan, why are you way over there??

Lily Grace fussing on Hogan. She has gotten to where she fusses (lots of gibberish) on you and shakes her finger at you. Where did she get this from?

I think she was boring Hogan!Pretty Hogan
Here he comes! He saw she had snacks and he ate them all up!
Lily Grace started getting a little aggravated at him

He finally laid down beside her

Then on top of her!!!!!!!
Where is Lily Grace?!?!?!

Awwww, Hogan giving Lily Grace sugar

HeHeHeHe :)

Eat your Vegetables!

We are trying very hard to get Lily Grace to start eating table food. For the past few months she has eaten a bite here and there from our plates but I know she is about to be 1 year old so we need to start feeding her more. It is just a little scary because table food is so different from baby food. Last night we gave her some steamed veggies and she did pretty good. She was still hungry though so she ended up eating two more jars of baby food! I just hope we can figure this table food thing out in the next month!!

Cover Up!!

Here is a picture of Lily Grace covering up like I mentioned in the last post. Grandmommy and Aunt KirKir got to see her do this yesterday and they thought it was too funny!

Cover up Lily Grace!!! Lily Grace loves looking at herself in the mirror! And talking to herself and kissing herself.... she loves the mirror or she loves herself! :)

The Worst Noise!

Lily Grace is making one of the worst noises in the world! Sunday she got the two top middle teeth and then Tuesday she got the two beside them. So now she has 6 teeth! Well, I guess they are hurting her so she has been grinding them together!!!! Oh my goodness, it is awful! Neither Marty or I can stand that noise and she won't stop doing it!! They seem to be really bothering her though and I feel so bad for her. :( I just hope the grinding stops soon.

She does new things everyday but there are two that are sticking out in my mind right now. If she doesn't have any clothes on you can say "Cover up" and she puts her hands over her little "boobies". It is super cute!! I have it on video where she also takes a few steps by herself!! I really need to start putting her videos on here!! The other thing is when she is in the bath we have lots of toys and duckies in there with her. The duckies are up on the little ledges in the tub and when we ask where's the ducky, she looks up instantly and points at them. She is starting to learn what objects are, like the ducky for example. We have a little smarty! :) This stage in her life is more fun everyday (but going by way too fast)!!

Big Bubbles

We went outside this afternoon for a little bit to play with the bubbles Grandmommy got Lily Grace. The wind was too bad for her ears so we couldn't stay out long. She loved the big bubbles and kept trying to kick them while Maw Maw was holding her. Grandmommy got her a giant bottle and we almost used it all!!

Is the sun in your eyes Granddaddy and Lily Grace??

Happy Easter!!

Lily Grace's First Easter was a lot of fun. She enjoyed hunting her Easter basket this morning and loved playing with all she got. She got lots of books, a stuffed rabbit, a swing, and a musical and alphabet blanket from us. From Grandmommy and Pop she got a big bubbles kit, a sand sifter for the beach, books, and other little goodies. I think Lily Grace enjoyed her first Easter. We had decorated eggs but we ended up not hiding and finding them this year. I think Lily Grace might like this a little more next year. She was just way too sleepy this time!! She loves egg yolks though, so now she has lots of egg yolks to eat. Grandmommy gave Lily Grace a book with a big hole in it!!

Pretty Saturday Afternoon

It was such nice weather yesterday afternoon, I had to go ahead and give Lily Grace one of her Easter presents early - a swing!
She kept trying the lick the swing!!!
I don't think she was too fond of the swing. It was a little scary for her because we put it up so HIGH!!! When we get it back to our house we are going to have to find a lower tree limb or something to hang it on.
This shows you how high it is. Marty was putting it in and could hardly reach the tree limb. This is really high considering Marty is 6'7"!!!

Look how pretty our sweet girl is.

Okay, don't laugh! I did not want to put this picture on here but everyone is making me. Listen, Mothers do what they can to keep their child entertained!!! :)

Saturday Wedding

Yesterday we went to Heather Frost and Micah Bozeman's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and Heather made a beautiful bride. We are very happy for them! We also enjoyed getting to see so many friends and family.

Just like in church, Lily Grace did not want to sit still so Marty had to take her out during the wedding. While they were outside he got some really pretty pictures of her. I was excited to find them on my camera. It was a nice surprise!

Cottingham Boy Baby Shower

Friday night Marty and I gave Joshua and Meg a baby shower for their new baby on the way. Meg is due in another month but we are thinking it could be anytime now. They have finally figured out the name!!! His name will be Coleman James Cottingham. We are very excited to meet the sweet baby!! Meg is definitely ready for him so maybe it will only be a few more days!

Meg, Joshua, and Hal

I have always wanted to make a diaper cake and I finally got the chance. I enjoyed making it and would love to start making more and selling them!! If anyone would like one made for a shower, I would be glad to do it! :)

We played a few games. We played "guess how big Meg's belly is" by cutting yarn and then measuring it. Laura and I got it exactly right!! There were a few people that went over, not naming any names.........Josh!!!!! We also played Baby Shower Charades. This was a lot of fun. The funniest was when Gurley got "breast pump"! We laughed so hard! I wish I would have had it on video! Josh probably had the hardest here in this picture with "moses basket".

Here is the whole crew! Two funny stories while taking this picture. In order to get all of us in the picture I had to set the timer. So I set it up and we had ten seconds. After a little bit of us posing and smiling really big the camera still hadn't took the picture. I went to check it out and my batteries went dead!! Then when we got the batteries put in and the camera set back up, Chloe (on Jarrod's shoulders) spit up on his head!!!

A close up!!
We had a ton of fun with the crew but we missed the Davis and Crocker families!! Maybe we can find a time to get the whole crew together one day soon!!
