This week LG went with Mykah everyday to her VBS. It was everyday from 8:30 til 12. She had the best time. It was a western theme. I am so happy LG got to spend so much time with her best friend. They undoubtedly talk way too much to each other because one time Mykah's mom said when she walked by their class once, LG and Mykah were separated. One on one end of the table and the other on the other end of the table. And they were yelling back and forth to each other, "MYKAH!!!!!......LILY GRACE!!!!!!!" Mrs. Lori said, "All day long....."
Ice Cream, Ice Cream, we all scream for Ice Cream!!
0 comments Posted by The James Family at 1:14 PMWe hear the Ice Cream truck go by our house a few times a week but have never had the chance to go out and catch him. I think this is so neat!! I had never seen an ice cream truck in person before, just on television. I was so excited we were outside when he rode down our street Tuesday afternoon. Now that LG knows what the music is for, it may not be a good thing, ha!
We have been trying to figure out what has been causing LG's eczema for a long time. We have had some really rough times with all her boo boos for the past three years. It has gotten much worse in the past two months so I talked to LG's doctor and we got her scheduled for allergy tests. We went Tuesday for them. They tested her for 15 different things. She was such a good girl. I was so proud of her. She wanted to see her back so bad while we were in the room and of course I had a camera in the bag :) So I took pictures of her back to see it. What did we do before digital cameras?? Ha! The first picture was taken right after the pricks. The second picture was taken fifteen minutes later after they washed her back and put cream on the spots. You can clearly see she is definitely allergic to something.
The tests showed she is allergic to:
Grass, Dogs, Cats, Fish, Shrimp, Peanuts, and the worst was Dustmites. All these things aggrevate her eczema. There are some things we will have change but it will all be worth it if we can help give her some relief. She will continue to have eczema and still hopefully grow out of it over the years but by ding out what she is allergic to may help with the flare ups. We are so happy we have figured this out and hopefully things will be better with LG's boo boos now.
While I took Cooper to the doctor for his checkup Monday, Grandmama picked up LG from bible school. So she got to play the whole afternoon with Grandmama and Granddaddy. I heard from LG they had a picnic, fished, blew bubbles and they played with this sprinkler. Looks like she was really enjoying herself! Marty took these pictures of her with his phone when he went to pick her up. I wish I could have seen it! We will have to do it again soon!
Monday, June 7th, I took Cooper in for his sick checkup/ 8 month checkup. There was a little mix up and he shouldn't have had a checkup until 9 months. So unless he gets sick, we will not go back until October.
His wheezing was gone and he still had a little fluid on his ears but Dr. Pettit said it shouldn't be anything to worry about. He said everything looked great and will probably be a singer because he squeals louder and at a higher pitch than any child he has heard. He weighed 22 lbs and 10 oz. and was 28 inches long.
