Back on February 9th, I went into the doctor for just a check up because I had been very tired. After getting blood work done and a pregnancy test just in case, the doctor announced to me I was pregnant! I really did not think I was pregnant so I was a little shocked but very excited! Since it was so close to Valentine's day, I decided to wrap the test up and take it home to Marty. He was really shocked! But she was overwhelmed with joy! Lily Grace still doesn't understand exactly what is going on but she does point to my belly when we ask her where the new baby is. Hopefully she will adjust well the new addition. I have attached some more pictures of every one's reaction to the news. I am due October 20th even though I am measuring about a week early. Pray for our family and the new changes on the way! And please pray for the baby's health! Love to you all!
Grandmommy was SUPER excited of course! She can't wait to hold all three grand kids in her lap on Sunday afternoons!
It took Pop just a minute to figure it out but he was very excited once he did!
Lily Grace is doing great! She has not had another seizure, thank goodness! We did take her to her doctor after the last one and he warned us that Lily Grace would probably have a seizure at the beginning of every sickness she had until she was five years old. After the first seizure we ran all the tests and went to Children's but there was no signs of any problems or damage. Because all three seizures have been caused by fevers, we are not going to put her on any medicine at this time. And the doctor assured us that these type of seizures do not cause damage. Now we just have to watch for fevers! But the thing is, all three times she was not sick at all and then all of a sudden a fever would spike to 104 and she would have the seizure. So really there is no way to prepare for them. Thank you all for praying for Lily Grace and checking on us through out this time. The only problems we are having now with Lily Grace is allergies like crazy and the TERRIBLE TWOS!!! Wow, they came early and strong! HA!
On the 21st that evening, we had a fish fry at Grandmommy and Pop's house for Mother's side of the family. Granddaddy and Pop fry the BEST fish ever, so it was a real treat! We missed Angie's bunch and Luke's bunch but it was great to see everyone else! And we missed Daddy!! He had already made plans to eat out with one of his closest friends from college, Doug. We look forward to the next fish or turkey fry. Marty is really wanting another one soon since he missed this one!! (Hint, Hint:)
Also during Grandmommy's Spring Break, we met her for lunch and some fun!
A few weeks ago, during Fayette County's Spring Break, we took a little two day trip to North Alabama. On the first day we first stopped in Cullman for a little shopping and to eat at my most favorite restaurant there, Rumors. Yummy! Then we headed to Huntsville to stay at the new Bridge Street Mall. It is amazing! We shopped some more, had dinner, and hung out in the room for the night. The next morning after a good breakfast at Crackle Barrel, we shopped some more and then headed for Hartselle for antique shopping. We made one more stop at a Ross in Fultondale on the way home. We jammed packed a lot of shopping and eating in two days, but it was so much fun!!
Aunt KirKir and Tucker
After dinner we went to a chocolate shop and ate chocolate covered strawberries. Lily Grace really enjoyed them! She was so mad when hers was gone, but at $4.00 a strawberry, I couldn't get her another one!!

I have been so behind on updating my blog I did not get a chance to post the last seizure Lily Grace had. On February 8th at 3AM, Lily Grace had another seizure. I woke up and heard her moaning, which didn't sound normal, so I went to check on her and felt that she was burning up. We then gave her Tylenol and she just never acted right. After about ten minutes of talking to her, she laid over and began seizing. It was just as scary as the first one but at least we were more prepared with knowing what to do. The ambulance came to pick us up and after a few tests, we found she had an ear infection that caused her to have a high fever which just spiked all of a sudden and brought on the seizure. It had been exactly one year and 16 days since the last one. I thought this one would definitely be the last or at least for a while.
Last night she went to spend the night with Mother after Maw Maw's dinner. She was perfectly fine, happy and playing with no signs of sickness. This morning, Kirsten called us about 7:30 while we were getting ready for church and said Lily Grace had just had a seizure and was on the way to the hospital. I hated I was not there with her but I knew she was in good hands with my parents. They were of course scared to death because they had never seen her have one but they did everything they were supposed to do. Marty and I jumped in the car and headed for Fayette. By the time we got there, they had just got the lab work back to see what might have caused the high fever. They had found that she had the flu. She did have her flu shot back in October but as we have heard, it doesn't seem to be helping with this other type of flu or this many months later. Because she seemed so great yesterday, she was around so many of our family, so just keep us all in your prayers. Pray that Lily Grace will soon be over the flu and not have any more high fevers this week, that we will not catch it and that our family will not get it either. We especially pray that Tucker will not get it because he is too young to take the medicine. Also pray this will be the last seizure that Lily Grace has because it is so scary and can be very dangerous. Because this is her third seizure, that may mean more seizure tests to come. Thank you to all of you that have been calling and thinking of us. We love you all!
