A Great Thursday

Wednesday night, Lily Grace and I spent the night with Grandmommy and Pop. Then Thursday we met up with the family to eat lunch at Tuggies. (Granddaddy, Maw Maw, Angie, Houston, Kirsten, Grandmommy, Skyler and us.) After lunch, Lily Grace and I went to meet all of Grandmommy's new teachers at the Elementary School. She loved walking around that school! She was too cute! She kept talking to them all in the classrooms we stopped in and even when they walked by in the hallways. In the third grade classroom she climbed up in the chair beside some of the kids. She just thought she was big as them! Later, we headed to Tuscaloosa to meet our friends Jenn and little Eleigh Kaye for ice cream. We have missed them so much since they left our church and moved to Mobile to start a new college ministry at a church there. It was great to catch up and let the girls play together. They played SO GOOD together. I hope to see them both very, very soon again!! What a blessed day!!

Happy Birthday Danny!

This past Monday night, we went to celebrate Danny's birthday at the Crow's Nest at Cypress Inn. It was a surprise party because he turned the BIG 40!! We had a great time! And the food was delicious! Danny and Heather have become wonderful friends of ours from church and we have the best time every time we are with them. We love them and we wish Danny many more happy birthdays!

The Birthday Boy

My Sweet, Sweet friend, Heather

My dear friend, Becky

Lily Grace looks so sweet in this picture but oh my! She was a hand full at this party! I just hope she didn't ruin any one's time! Sometimes it is so hard taking care of a toddler in public!

New Nap Mat

Lily Grace is in an older class this year at MDO and she needed a nap mat. So I found her one the other day and she loved it. She knew exactly what to do with it. She does the cutest thing though. If you say, "Go to sleep or take a nap", no matter where she is or what she is doing, she gets down on the floor and lays down. I wish it was really that easy to get her to sleep!! Because after about 10 seconds, she hops right back up! HA!

Happy Birthday Houston!!

This past Saturday, we went to Houston's 4th Birthday party! I can't believe he is 4!!! Lily Grace had the best time with all the kids. We love you Houston and we hope you had a great birthday!

Maw Maw and Lily Grace

Lily Grace just loves Baby Beth!!

And Mommy just loves Lily Grace! Just about every time she takes a picture with me now, she does this! I think it is too cute though because I will take her loving any time of the day!

Granddaddy loves feeding his grandbabies! And Lily Grace loved him feeding her ice cream!

"Ummmm these drinks look good!"
Cutie Pie Ben
Lily Grace loved watching the puppy outside the window. I think he liked watching her too!
She enjoyed playing with boy toys so much. She especially loved the tool set! I think she carried this screw around the entire time!

Berry Football Begins

Last Friday night, we went to Berry to watch Uncle Skyler play in a scrimmage game. I didn't get to stay too long because I went to scrapbooking at Cleveland but it looks like Lily Grace really enjoyed herself. Maybe this season Lily Grace will like going to the games more. She was so excited when we walked up. She kept pointing at the players and squealing. This year though, she can walk and she thinks she is so big and can go on her on. I guess we will see in the next couple of weeks how it goes! Skyler did great! He even caught an interception! We can't wait to go watch him play! We love Uncle Skyler so much!

This was a funny picture. Look at every body's faces! This is definitely a random snapshot!!

Pop just cracks Lily Grace up!!

Congrats to the Taylors!

On August 15th, the Taylors were blessed with a healthy little baby boy. Nick and Carla are dear friends of ours from church. Nicholas Luke (they will call him Luke) was even the same exact measurements as Lily Grace was when she was born! He is precious and I look forward to watching Lily Grace and him grow up together at church. We love you all!!

Hottie

Lily Grace sweats so bad! Two weeks ago, Kirsten wanted to come down and spend a whole day with her while I was at MDO. When I got home that afternoon, Aunt KirKir was holding her while she was asleep (for 2 whole hours!) and when she woke up, it looked like she had just stepped out of the shower. She was wet all over! I asked Kirsten why in the world she didn't go lay her down? She said she was enjoying holding her too much! But she usually looks like this after naps, in the mornings, from going outside and etc. Poor thing....I wonder what she will think about this trait when she gets in High School! Maybe she will grow out of it!

I guess about two weeks ago, Marty was watching Lily Grace while I was working on the classrooms at my preschool. I just found these precious pictures and I had to share them with you all. It looks like she is still going to be a little confused on which team to cheer for this year!

Saturday in Cullman

Saturday morning we woke up and ate a delicious breakfast (thank you Brandi) and got ready for a day of fun! We went to two parks, out for lunch, a little browsing in shops, more play time at the house and out for dinner. It was a action packed day and it was a blast! It was so great for the kids to play together and great for the parents to spend sometime with each other. I hope this is a regular event for the James family in the future!

The first park we went to was Sportsmen Park. It was the cutest park I have been to. There was lots of ducks to feed, a train to ride, a very pretty pond to fish and paddle boat on, a little Ferris wheel, a carousel, playgrounds and much more! It was perfect for children.
Lily Grace loved watching the ducks and geese.
They would walk right up to you to get the bread!
Look at the duck! She kept saying "Duck, Duck, Quack, Quack".
"Ooooooo"
Lily Grace loved watching the ducks but did not want to get down with the ducks.
" Look Braiden over there!" They loved each other so much. They played so good together!
Aunt Pey Pey and Madilyn on the paddle boat. This was so hard!! HA!
Riding the Train
Lily Grace loves her cousin Madi so much!
The second park we went to was the Smith Lake Park. We are looking forward to camping there this fall!
Swinging with the Babies
I can't wait to get these two back together soon! Aren't they cute!
"Wheeeeee!" She loved the slide!
After the parks, she was so tired because she hadn't had a nap all day, she fell asleep in Uncle Patrick's lap playing on the computer.
What a wonderful trip and wonderful family! Thank you for inviting us to stay with you! We can't wait to see you all again and we love you all very much!

Friday Night in Cullman

Friday afternoon we went to stay with Marty's Brother's Family for a night. We had the best time with all of them! Brandi and I went to Kids Mart Friday night while the Daddies stayed home playing with the kids. After looking at all the pictures, they look like they all had a great time together. We have to do this more often!

Lily Grace talks on everything like a phone! Here she is talking on a bun!

Lily Grace found a shaking ball in all the toys. She loved it! She would put her mouth on it and make funny noises with her mouth. I think it was feeling good on her gums! The video is a lot more funny!

Cousin Madilyn blowing bubbles for Lily Grace. She loves saying "bubbles".

Swinging in Braiden's swing

Brennon climbed far up in the tree!!
Pretty Madilyn
After they came back inside, the kids wanted to go back out!
Madilyn read a bedtime story to Lily Grace.
