Our Story

Marty and I met on a blind date September 27th, 2004 and it was love at first site! Shortly afterwards we were engaged in February and married on July 2nd, 2005. We live in Brent. We are the proud parents of Lily Grace and Cooper Preston. LG was born on May 8th, 2007 at 12:16 p.m. She weighed 7lbs. 14 ozs. and was 20 inches long. Cooper was born on October 11th, 2009 at 6:10 a.m. He weighed 9 lbs. 4 oz. and was 21 inches long. We have been blessed! About Peyton: My parents are Debbie and Randy Deavours (Grandmommy and Pop), Sister Kirsten, Brother Skyler, Nephew Tucker. My hometown is Berry, Al. I graduated from the University of Alabama in May 2007 with a BS in Elementary Education but as of now I have the best job in the world, a stay at home mommy! I also have a liitle business out of my house where I create and sell personalized gifts and invitations. See my website! About Marty: My parents are Dexine and Preston James (Grandmama and Granddaddy) and Brother Pat. Sister-in-law Brandi, niece Madilyn, and nephews Brennon and Braiden. My hometown is Brent, Al. I graduated from The U of A in 1999 with a BS in MIS with a Minor in CS. Also from Shelton State I have an AS in Business Administration and AS in Drafting Technology. I work as a Computer Office Manager at Scott Davis Timber Company. I really love my job. Uncle Skyler's Basketball Game

We didn't get to watch Uncle Skyler play as much as we would have liked this season but we did get to go to his last home game. He played great and it was great to see the family. Lily Grace really enjoyed watching Uncle Skyler and seeing everyone. Hopefully next year we will see a lot more games! We love you Uncle Skyler!

Lily Grace is always wanting to wear Mommy and Daddy's prescription glasses we wear at night, so I popped out the lens out of some old sunglasses and she loves wearing them at night when we have ours own. Then of course she had to get her purses! Ha!

Swingin' and Playin'

Last week there were two days in a row that it felt so nice outside. So we got to play outside two afternoons and had the best time! Here are some pictures from one of those afternoons out. We are ready for SPRING!!! Too bad the groundhog so his shadow. Hopefully he was wrong! :)

Brennon's Basketball Game

Two Saturdays ago, we went to watch one of Brennon's basketball games. It was a lot of fun! We first ate at Rumors (one of our favorite restaurants in Cullman) and then headed for the game. Lily Grace loved running around and playing with Madilyn and Brennon and her pink basketball. I loved the big open area for the kids to play while the game was going on. Brennon did great and they stayed undefeated the whole season! We are proud of you Brennon and love you very much!

Braiden loved sitting up high in Uncle Marty's arms! When Lily Grace was that age, that was her favorite spot, too! Now she is way too heavy to sit up there!

Lily Grace is really in to feeding Hogan these days. She will push animal cookies underneath the door to him. He loves it! She fed him a whole snack bag of them here and then she got so upset when they were all gone and she wanted to eat some. HA! It was really cute to watch though because he would sit after every time she gave him a cookie and wait until she sent him the next one. How sweet! Now she wants to do it everyday though!

Daddy's are so wonderful, aren't they? I was gone some where one afternoon a few Fridays ago and Marty took Lily Grace outside to play. As you can see she is still in her pajama shirt and still has bed head, HA!! Too funny! It looks like they had a really good time though, as she always does with her Daddy. I get so much time with Lily Grace (which I LOVE) but I think it is important for her and Marty to have some time alone, too. I always miss them tons when I am away but I look forward to seeing what funny pictures they took when I get back!
