Staying Warm

We finally got to use her big, thick coat for once! It seems like it doesn't get cold enough here to wear stuff like that. We went outside to spend a little time with Hogan. He has been with us for three years now. He is such a good dog and we love him very much. He is part of the family! Lily Grace gave him a toy to play with. He loved it! He gave her a big, sloppy kiss to show her.

Sick Baby

Lily Grace has been so sick the past two weeks. First it started off as the croup. It was awful hearing your little one cough like that. Then she got a lot better and then got a nasty cold. That lasted for another week. The croup is contagious so I got a "strand" of some type of cold from her. So for the past week we were both sick and stuck in the house. We were about to go crazy and it is so nice to get back to normal life again! Hopefully we will stay well the rest of this winter season.

A funny picture of her watching TV, mouth hung open wide! HA! She is in deep concentration!

Perfect Place to Sleep

When we arrived and Lily Grace saw Granddaddy, she jumped into his arms so excited! Then after loving on him for a while, she fell asleep and took a really long nap. It looked like a very comfy spot to sleep! Thank you Maw Maw for cooking us a good ol' country meal. It was divine! We love y'all!

Girls Trip

These are my teachers at Mom's Day Out Preschool. We took a girls trip to Weedowee Lake for the weekend to get to know each other better. It was lots of fun shopping, eating out, going to the movies, and spending time together. I look forward to the beach trip this summer girls!

The Accessories Queen

Lily Grace loves to wear my boots, hats, belts, glasses, and carry around purses. She is such a little girly girl. These are by far her favorite though! She loves accessories!

She loves being held way up in the air. These were some cute pictures from that same night.

Happy Birthday Madilyn!!

January 11th was Madilyn's birthday. On the 10th we all went out to celebrate at Stix in Gardendale. Madilyn is growing into such a big girl and is so sweet and special to us. We love you Ma-Ma (as Lily Grace calls her) and Happy Birthday!!

It was a very interesting experience that night. We have eaten at Tokyo sooooo many times and she has never gotten scared before. Well the fire scared her this time! She just wasn't the same the rest of the night....until she got cake! Look, a mouth full of cake!

Out with Friends

A few weekends ago, Marty and I went with some friends and the college group from church bowling. We had the best time. We always have tons of fun with Heather and Danny! We tried taking a group shot of us four but the picture never worked out. Thanks a lot Danny!!! It was hilarious though and we got a really good laugh!

While we were bowling, Lily Grace stayed with Ty at his house. Caitlin from church babysat them and they had lots of fun. She wants to do everything Ty does. They are so cute together! And Ty is so sweet to play with her and the girly toys. She loves Ty-Ty.

Gymnastics

Last night, Lily Grace went to gymnastics for the first time. It was an interesting experience! She did great for the first 15 minutes. I was so excited because she was jumping on the trampoline and jumping in the foam pit all by herself. Then she started fussing. Her attention span ran out and she was ready to do something else. Finally we moved to another station but then Lily Grace decided she wanted to go back to the last one! So she started screaming!! Yes, very loud screaming. I was so embarrassed. I couldn't get her to stop. So I called Marty and told him this may not be for us. I thought I might have to leave early. But then it was time to climb the very tall ladder. She did it twice, all by herself and loved it. She loved it so much, the second time she held on to the top and wouldn't let go! I had to jerk her down which caused more screaming! So we moved to the next station. She really like this one. It was big mats that she could climb on. She got into one of the holes and stopped. She wouldn't get out and she was holding up the line. She looked back to the other little girls and said, "No, no, it's mine!" (Can I tell you how much I hate those words?! She has just started that and it is not a fun stage to go through!) So I finally had to pull her out which caused more screaming. She did a few flips but wouldn't let her teachers touch her. She would say no, no and push them away. She did swing from the poles all by herself and enjoyed that. Finally, it was time to leave! The teacher gave them all stamps. She was so excited and kept saying "stamps, stamps, stamps!" and I don't think she even knew what a stamp was. So the girl gave her one on each foot and one on each hand. She was so happy and I thought maybe she won't cry anymore before we leave. But I was wrong! When the girl put the stamps away, she started screaming again for more stamps. UGH!!!! I was so ready to get out of there! Lily Grace was the youngest by almost a year and this was her first time. All the other little girls had been there for two other semesters. So the other Mommies kept reassuring me it would get better and all their little girls did the same thing. I hope they are right! We will try again next week. Wish us luck!

After gymnastics, we went to the mall to eat. Aunt Kendra was there, too! It was great to spend a little time with her. We love you Aunt KK!

Just Another Day

Hogan loves Lily Grace

He loves Mommy too! He trapped me down and would not let me up! Marty thought this was funny and would not help me. He just kept taking pictures! Ugh!

Pretty Smile
I love how she interacts with songs and her television shows. Here she is watching Yo Gabba Gabba and doing what TuTee says to do.

Fun with the Mill's

Friday night we went to the Mill's home to watch the Bama game and to hang out with some friends. It was a lot of fun, as always with them! We were happy Randy and Mandy joined us, too! Lily Grace loves spending time with Ty. He is a good bit older than her but she adores him. He is the cutest little boy. And she does everything he does! He got a Wii for Christmas- SO MUCH FUN!!! I really want one now! I wish I would have took pictures on the characters he created for us. Lily Grace's was precious! Thank y'all for inviting us! We love y'all!
Every little think Ty did, she did it, too.

She thought the Wii was neat, too. Ty would say, "Could you move please."

Cowgirl

I was pretty good at bowling but horrible at tennis. It was really hard and I was even sore the next morning! HA!
How sweet!
Morgan had some friends over and Lily Grace decided it was girl time and went to sit with them in her room.

Happy New Year!

New Year's Day we went to Cullman to spend the afternoon with the James family. Brandi cooked all the New Year traditional food. It was a delicious dinner. Thank you for inviting us! I think it is so great to get the kids together as much as possible! A wonderful way to start the new year off. I hope you all had a blessed first day of the year!

Braiden got the ride and bounce pony that is interactive with the television. Lily Grace really like riding it.

Awwww!

It took her a while to learn how to bounce up and down. She finally got it!!

Marty and I had a great time playing with Madi and Brennon's new games. Madi got a playstation and we danced a lot on the dance mat game. And Brennon got an XBox 360. Marty got to play football games with him. Thank you all for a great time! Love y'all tons!
