Lily Grace ate baby food for the first time this afternoon for her dinner. She LOVED it! It was some yummy squash. She ate it all and wanted more! She did so much better with it than she did with the cereal. She never even spit it out. I am hoping it continues to go this well. We will try the squash for a few days to make sure she isn't allergic to it and then add another vegetable. We aren't going to do fruits for a while because then she will get a sweet tooth and never want her veggies! She is probably getting plenty of sweets through her Mommy's milk anyways!!
Update of Lily Grace's cold. She is feeling much better but still has that runny but stopped up nose at the same time. I have been having to use the blue suction bulb a whole lot here lately. She used to not mind it but she really hates it right now. She doesn't have a fever anymore and she is back to her usual good mood again. Wednesday and Thursday you could really tell she didn't feel good because she looked so down. It broke my heart! She is a lot better now but I think she has given me the cold. I can feel it coming on!!
Daddy's work has a family picnic each year and this year we got to take Lily Grace. He loved carrying her around showing her off to all the men he works with. And she ate up the attention. She was so good. She has always been a great baby but it is amazing how better she seems to get everyday. Even Friday night at the ballgame she was super! She slept through the whole second quarter and would have stayed the entire game but Mommy and Daddy were tired! We left at the beginning of the 4th quarter. I was so happy she finally enjoyed a game! At the picnic she took a nap in my arms, too. She used to try and fight sleep but here lately as soon as I lay her in her sleeping position, she is fast asleep. Later that afternoon Mom and I took her shopping and she was great then too. Wow, we are really lucky to have such a good baby. We won't be so lucky with the next baby.
Last Thursday night Lily Grace was so sleepy while eating her cereal. She kept rubbing her eyes but first would rub her mouth getting cereal all over her face. She wasn't feeling very well either. She started getting a little cold Wednesday, her first sickness. I think she might have caught it Tuesday at her check up. It isn't too bad, just a very low grade fever, little cough, and very runny nose. I feel so bad for her though because she is having this hardest time breathing! And all you can give her is Tylenol, no cold medicine at this age. But I just thought the pictures were too cute (but very messy) not to share!

I just wanted to take a minute to say how much we appreciate all that my Mother does for us. She has been keeping Lily Grace for us a lot on Saturdays here lately so we can get out and have some alone time. It has been wonderful! Also, every Sunday she cooks us a huge lunch and then keeps Lily Grace all afternoon so that we can take a nap. I know Mother is enjoying every minute she gets to spend with Lily Grace and everytime it gets harder and harder for her to give her back to us! It breaks my heart seeing Mother cry when we say goodbye and then Marty has to listen to me cry most of the way home! We wish we could see them everyday! We miss them tons! These are just a few things Mother does for us but we are so thankful for everything she does because she really does so much! We are so blessed to have such wonderful parents and Lily Grace is so lucky to have them as Grandparents. We love you all!!!

We never put Lily Grace on her stomach because she hates it so much. But Tuesday night after bath time, I rolled her over on her stomach and she rolled back over! I'm not really sure it counts because her arm was underneath her which helped her push over. I think it counts for something though! Now every night after her bath we practice rolling over. She is getting so good at it. So that is why I said "kinda" because I don't know if we can actually say she rolled over because she is starting with her arm under her.

Last night we went to watch Uncle Skyler play football. He did great! And Lily Grace did wonderful at the game. She never cried and stayed awake for the entire game. I think she really enjoyed watching her Uncle play ball. Friday night's game was a different story. As soon as we sat down and someone yelled she started screaming! It was awful! We had to get up and walk around for a quarter and finally got her settled down for the second quarter. She sat through it and then got hungry at half time. We left shortly after that. I think there was just way too many people Friday night and the noise scared her. We were so excited she was so good for last night's game because Skyler played the whole game and we really wanted to see him. We are so proud of him. Both Varsity and Jr. High have won all their games!
Yes, we know that Auburn has not been doing too well this season. But we are fans through and through! And she just looked too cute in this not to put it on here! For Marty's side of the family... I have bought her an Alabama outfit for her to wear too. We weren't with her during the Bama game Saturday night and my parents weren't about to put that outfit on her! So I will take pictures of her in it soon for you all to see!
Lily Grace has slept in those little gowns with the cuffs on the hands from day one. They make things very easy when she needs a diaper changed but she sleeps to 7 or 8 every morning so a gown is not really needed for that reason anymore. By the time she is up, it is time to get dressed for the day. So I thought she could start wearing those cute footie outfits she had. This was from last Thursday night, her first night to wear one. Isn't it precious? And look, she is saying her prayer before she goes to sleep!
