Our Story

Marty and I met on a blind date September 27th, 2004 and it was love at first site! Shortly afterwards we were engaged in February and married on July 2nd, 2005. We live in Brent. We are the proud parents of Lily Grace and Cooper Preston. LG was born on May 8th, 2007 at 12:16 p.m. She weighed 7lbs. 14 ozs. and was 20 inches long. Cooper was born on October 11th, 2009 at 6:10 a.m. He weighed 9 lbs. 4 oz. and was 21 inches long. We have been blessed! About Peyton: My parents are Debbie and Randy Deavours (Grandmommy and Pop), Sister Kirsten, Brother Skyler, Nephew Tucker. My hometown is Berry, Al. I graduated from the University of Alabama in May 2007 with a BS in Elementary Education but as of now I have the best job in the world, a stay at home mommy! I also have a liitle business out of my house where I create and sell personalized gifts and invitations. See my website! About Marty: My parents are Dexine and Preston James (Grandmama and Granddaddy) and Brother Pat. Sister-in-law Brandi, niece Madilyn, and nephews Brennon and Braiden. My hometown is Brent, Al. I graduated from The U of A in 1999 with a BS in MIS with a Minor in CS. Also from Shelton State I have an AS in Business Administration and AS in Drafting Technology. I work as a Computer Office Manager at Scott Davis Timber Company. I really love my job. New Friend

Look what LG found :)

She wanted to hold him, touch him, look at him.....but she didn't. She really didn't know what she wanted to do with him. At first she stayed far away.

Then we finally got her a little closer.

These next pictures all go in order. They are so funny. Look at her hands and facial expressions. She starts to touch him, she touches him, and then she jerks her hand aways and squeals. It was so funny to watch!

Later that afternoon......

LG loves to aggrevate Maw Maw and Maw Maw loves to aggrevate LG.

LG was really getting Maw Maw here. She loves to play with all our hundreds of old beenie babies. This one is a rat. She was tickling Maw Maw with it. It was hilarious because Maw Maw was actually freaking out about it! LG loved it!

Can she get her leg up any higher??? :)

Last Saturday we went to Chloe's birthday party. Lily Grace and Chloe always have such a good time together. They are so much a like. Wish we could see them more!

LG had everyone laughing so hard when Chloe was opening her presents. Everytime she would open one LG would say, "I've got one of those at my house!." Seriously, every single present!!! And the funny thing, out of all the presents she probably only had 2 of the things at her house!

Cooper enjoyed his time at the party, too. He has been trying to crawl for the past few weeks. He is getting so close. He will lunge forward and he will rock back and forth. He just gets his foot stuck under him sometimes and can't really move. It won't be long though!! Here are a few pictures of him trying to move.

Helping Daddy

The Grandparents gave Lily Grace a playground set for her birthday. It's not a one afternoon job to put together! Marty works on it every chance he can which is hard as busy as we stay. Lily Grace is really excited about it and loves helping her Daddy put it together.

How sweet is this?!

To be such a girly girl at times, she loves tools. She has really enjoyed actually building something - not just pretend.

Cooper wants to help, too!

Happy Birthday to Mommy!

Saturday, May 29th, was my 26th birthday. It was the best yet! Every year gets better and better with my sweet little family. Marty surprised me with a yummy birthday cake. I don't know how he got the cake and gifts up to Berry without me seeing them. He's good! I love this picture because it looks like both kids are helping me blow the candle out. I didn't have anything to wish for though because how could life get any more perfect. I have a wonderful family that loves me, the best husband, two beautiful children, good health, a roof over my head, food to fill my belly, the best of friends, and so much more. God has truly blessed me!

That evening went on a date to Birmingham. We ate at Carrabba's. So GOOD!!! It was only the second time we have been alone since Cooper was born. It was so nice and very quiet. Not just because the kids weren't with us but because I didn't have a voice!! I had been sick and completely lost my voice. The quietest date ever!!! But I had the best company :)
