Day 3 at Seaside

Day 2 at Seaside

Beach Vacation Day 1

I had planned to blog all about the trip and everything we did in Seaside but never could get around to it. Vacations are wonderful but the catch up when you get back is so hard! I feel like it takes at least 2 weeks to catch up on everything. So instead I will just post only a few of our favorites from each day. This is our first day in Seaside. We fell in love with the place the minute we arrived.

VBS with Mykah

This week LG went with Mykah everyday to her VBS. It was everyday from 8:30 til 12. She had the best time. It was a western theme. I am so happy LG got to spend so much time with her best friend. They undoubtedly talk way too much to each other because one time Mykah's mom said when she walked by their class once, LG and Mykah were separated. One on one end of the table and the other on the other end of the table. And they were yelling back and forth to each other, "MYKAH!!!!!......LILY GRACE!!!!!!!" Mrs. Lori said, "All day long....."

Friday they had a water day at VBS. I had to take some pics of the girls playing when I went to pick LG up. They are just too sweet together.
We are looking forward to Mykah coming with us next week to our VBS!!

BFF's HA!! :)

We hear the Ice Cream truck go by our house a few times a week but have never had the chance to go out and catch him. I think this is so neat!! I had never seen an ice cream truck in person before, just on television. I was so excited we were outside when he rode down our street Tuesday afternoon. Now that LG knows what the music is for, it may not be a good thing, ha!

My hot babies :)

Cooper is really wanting that snow cone!!

Is that not too funny??? And look at that fat on him, haha!!!!

Finally!!!!!! LG shared!

Don't you just love these summer days? We do!!!!!!

Allergy Tests

We have been trying to figure out what has been causing LG's eczema for a long time. We have had some really rough times with all her boo boos for the past three years. It has gotten much worse in the past two months so I talked to LG's doctor and we got her scheduled for allergy tests. We went Tuesday for them. They tested her for 15 different things. She was such a good girl. I was so proud of her. She wanted to see her back so bad while we were in the room and of course I had a camera in the bag :) So I took pictures of her back to see it. What did we do before digital cameras?? Ha! The first picture was taken right after the pricks. The second picture was taken fifteen minutes later after they washed her back and put cream on the spots. You can clearly see she is definitely allergic to something.

The tests showed she is allergic to:
Grass, Dogs, Cats, Fish, Shrimp, Peanuts, and the worst was Dustmites. All these things aggrevate her eczema. There are some things we will have change but it will all be worth it if we can help give her some relief. She will continue to have eczema and still hopefully grow out of it over the years but by ding out what she is allergic to may help with the flare ups. We are so happy we have figured this out and hopefully things will be better with LG's boo boos now.

Fun Summertime Things

While I took Cooper to the doctor for his checkup Monday, Grandmama picked up LG from bible school. So she got to play the whole afternoon with Grandmama and Granddaddy. I heard from LG they had a picnic, fished, blew bubbles and they played with this sprinkler. Looks like she was really enjoying herself! Marty took these pictures of her with his phone when he went to pick her up. I wish I could have seen it! We will have to do it again soon!

Cooper's 8 month Checkup

Monday, June 7th, I took Cooper in for his sick checkup/ 8 month checkup. There was a little mix up and he shouldn't have had a checkup until 9 months. So unless he gets sick, we will not go back until October.

His wheezing was gone and he still had a little fluid on his ears but Dr. Pettit said it shouldn't be anything to worry about. He said everything looked great and will probably be a singer because he squeals louder and at a higher pitch than any child he has heard. He weighed 22 lbs and 10 oz. and was 28 inches long.

June 10th
It is funny how children like playing with things like Tupperware more than toys!
Dr. Petitt said we could start trying to wean Cooper from a bottle. We actually just started the bottle a couple of weeks ago when I weaned him from breastfeeding. I had some tests done and had to pump and dump for a few days because of it. As I was doing so my milk continued to get lower and lower. I was very upset but so many people in the family were happy because they got to feed him for the first time! Switching to the bottle was very easy but switching to the cup might be a little harder. He will drink about half of his milk from the cup and then I have to pour it into the bottle for him to finish. He likes the cup at first but then gets upset with it after a while. You can see in the is picture he is not happy with it :(

Cooper is a sweetheart. He is one of the happiest babies I have ever seen. He is very loving, too. He does new things all the time. On May 31st, he got his second tooth. On June 4th, he was watching tv and there was some music on, and he started "dancing". He was sitting and bouncing up and down. It was so cute. When he gets excited he was tighten up his arms, kick out his legs, shake his head back and forth, and squeal out. It is cute. He is rolling around everywhere and trying to crawl more and more. If you leave him in one place and leave the room, he might be in a totally different place when you get back. He isn't crawling but will scoot and wiggle over to where he is trying to get. It might take him a while sometimes but he will eventually get where he is trying to go. He is still saying "Dada" all the time. It is his favorite word. He has only said Mama three times. He will really tell you something though. He will just talk, talk, talk (saying all kinds of syllables). I thought he was going to be really quite since LG talks so much and he wouldn't have a chance to talk but it looks like he might be a talker, too. Cooper is wonderful and we are having so much fun with him in our lives! We look forward to many new milestones he meets and he continues to grow.
