Norris Family Christmas

For lunch on Christmas Eve, we ate with Grandmommy's side of the family at her house. We had so much fun and lots of yummy food! Everytime we get together, we take family pictures. This time Lily Grace fell asleep for the pictures and later, so did Pop!

A Christmas Visit

Last Sunday afternoon, Lily Grace got a surprise visit from her friend Lawson at Grandmommy's house. He is one day older than Lily Grace and they are so cute together! The first second they laid eyes on each other, they started smiling from ear to ear. They were so excited and he bounced up and down so much Lily Grace couldn't keep her eyes on him. I wish we could see them more!

Uh-oh, watch out!!! They were getting a little too close, haha!

They couldn't take their eyes off of each other, how sweet!

Later that day, Lily Grace played a few tunes for the family. I think the piano is her new favorite thing to play with. She didn't want to stop playing.

My Christmas Dress

This was Lily Grace's Christmas dress she wore to church. She looked like a precious little doll.

Lily Grace loves her Christmas puppy that Grandmommy gave her.

This was just another cute picture. Just as the shirt reads, she is definitely Mommy's and Daddy's best present ever!!!

James Family Christmas

Last Saturday night we had Christmas with Marty's immediate family in Cullman at Pat and Brandi's house. It was lots of fun!!

Lily Grace loved her Panda Bear the kids got her. Thank y'all!!

The Girls playing with the toys

Pretty Madilyn, wow she is growing up too fast!

As we were saying goodbye, Braiden was crying so Lily Grace started patting his little arm. It was so sweet! Then he wouldn't stop crying, so she started crying, too. It was really funny.

Sweet Christmas Baby

Here are just some cute pictures taken a few days before Christmas. When Marty was a little boy, he took pictures with the same Santa. They were cute to compare.

Rainy Day

Today was such a messy day and I hated for us to have to get out. But we had to go get the other half of Lily Grace's flu shot. After we got that, we met Grandmommy, MawMaw, and Aunt Kirsten to eat at Wings. Lily Grace wasn't fussy at all after her shot and was very excited to see them. She is feeling so much better and now you wouldn't even know she was sick. Thank you all for praying for our sweet little girl.

Lily Grace's "Boyfriend"

This was at Mom's Day Out yesterday. Garrett is in Lily Grace's class. Everyone at MDO calls him Lily Grace's "boyfriend" because they love each other so much. They get so excited when they see each other and they play so good together even though he is 7 months older than her. Aren't they cute?

Mommy Has A New Camera

I got a new camera Tuesday and I am so excited! I have taken so many pictures since then but here are a few that I really liked. The zoom is awesome and it takes pictures so much faster than my old one that now I can catch her pretty smile more!

Sick Baby

Lily Grace had a very bad night. She cried from 9:30 until 1:30 this morning non-stop. It wasn't a normal cry, it was a cry like she was in pain. I got in touch with the nurse at 1:30 and she said to give her Motrin and to take her to the doctor this morning. The medicine helped tons and calmed her down to go to sleep. This morning I took her to the doctor and she has an ear infection with a nasty little cold. He put her on an antibiotic, so we pray that she gets better soon. They did weigh her while we were there and she now weighs 20lbs and 11 oz! She is getting so big! So keep Lily Grace in your prayers for a few days and maybe she will be back to feeling well very soon.

We do want to wish Granddaddy Huey and Angie a Happy Birthday today! We are so sorry that we aren't going to be able to make Granddaddy's 75th surprise birthday party tonight since Lily Grace is sick. We hope you all have fun and we miss you all tons!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY and WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Fun with Tre

This afternoon, Grandmommy cooked for us like usual on Sundays but this time we had special guests! Scott Jr., Nikki and Tre came to eat with us. Now that Lily Grace and Tre are a little bigger, they enjoyed playing with each other. They were too sweet together. Tre is moving around so much and Lily Grace just sat there talking his ears off and watching him move all around her. He even laid down in her lap for a little bit. They are such cuties and we look forward to watching them grow up together.

Last night, we had a few of our friends from church over. 'Uncle' Andy and 'Aunt' Beck Beck, Joe and Alexa and their girls Sydney Ellis and Molly Jane, Johnny and Tara and their kids Anna Kate and John Wesley. We had a full house, a very nice dinner, and tons of fun. The kids seemed to have fun playing with each other and I wish we would have taken some pictures of them! But we really enjoyed them coming to spend the evening with us and look forward to getting together with them again soon!

I got the pictures from Grandmommy's camera that she took. I thought they were pretty cute!

We Visited Santa!

This morning Lily Grace and I went to Tuscaloosa to pick up a few things and to see Santa! I was worried she would cry like she has been doing with everyone else when I hand her off. She did great. She just kept starring at him and playing with his beard. She never smiled but she was content. We have the hardest time getting her to smile for pictures anyway. She smiles all the time but when we get the camera out she seems to stop immediately. Santa was so sweet and pretty and we are looking forward to him coming to our house very soon!

Bath Time

Monday night, Lily Grace took her first bath with Mommy. I guess we are just adding to the attachment issues. She seems to really enjoy it and we take care of two things at once. The nights are so busy now trying to get everything done before bedtime so this seems to help us out some. The bath seat is really great, too! Oh and she loves her ducky's!! She even plays with them outside of the bath. They may be her favorite toys right now.

Grandmommy's Tree

Sunday we took pictures for Grandmommy's Christmas card to send out and we thought we would take a family picture in front of her entry hall tree. I just thought it was a sweet family picture to share.

7 months old

Lily Grace is now 7 months old, wow! She is still our sweet little girl and isn't doing too much more than last month. She is wanting to move around like the other kids at MDO so bad, but just can't figure it out yet. She is talking a lot more and eating lots of different things including the baby meats (which she doesn't like too much yet). One thing that is new, she has attachment issues with Mommy. She has always been a little attached to me but now she is very attached. When anyone takes her from me there is always a little fuss. Sometimes it is screams and lots of crying. Even when she is sitting in her seat and I will walk into the other room for just a second, she starts yelling and crying for me. I guess when someone spends almost everyday and every minute with someone, you get just a little attached. The grabbing and pinching is getting a little better but now when she gets excited she squeezes her fists really tight, shakes them a little bit, then turns red faced and gives a little squeal. You might think she is angry but she is just very excited. Our little baby is still growing so fast and is changing everyday. We love her so much!!

Grandmama's Birthday Party

Tonight we celebrated Grandmama's birthday with a little birthday party at our house. It was so much fun and great to be able to spend a little extra time with everyone. The kids really enjoyed playing with each other and we all loved watching them. We can't wait to all get together again for Christmas, which is just around the corner!!

Grandmama and Granddaddy with all the grandchildren.

Lily Grace is going to love to cook just like her Mommy!

A Christmas Dinner

Thursday night, the girls on Mother's side of the family attended a wonderful Christmas dinner at the Berry Civic Center given by Berry Baptist Church. Each group decorates a table for the dinner. Maw Maw and Mother decorated our table and it was beautiful. I loved walking around and looking at all the tables. We all had the best time. The food was so yummy and the speaker and music was delightful. I love Christmas time!!

All the Girls at our table. Starting from the left: Angie, Maw Maw, Grandmommy, 'Aunt' KK, Mommy, Mrs. Kathy, Mary Katherine (Beth in her belly), and Aunt Shelia. Don't you just love all the Christmas attire?

Buttons and Bows

Sunday, December 2nd, Lily Grace wore her first real hair bow!!! No toothpaste, no syrup, we used the real hair clip! I was so excited that she now has just enough hair to hold a bow. She has worn a bow just about everyday since. I thought the little dress she wore was so precious with all the bows and buttons. It gave her plenty of things to play with during church!
