I have bragged and bragged on my daughter how she has never drawn on anything but paper. She has done great with this. Well that all changed on December 21st. While I was feeding Cooper, I put LG in her room with a movie and popcorn. I thought that would keep her busy until I finished. I guess she was not in the mood for a movie and she got into my scrapbooking supplies. She got a black PERMANENT marker and drew all over the wall, window, tv trays, ad doodle pad and back of the recliner in corner of our living room. Oh my goodness, you talking about MAD when I saw it! I CAN NOT believe she would do this! Toothpaste got off the marker on the window and doodle pad but we have not been able to get the rest off. I guess we are going to have to repaint the corner. Then the next day, I was feeding Cooper again and sitting at the table doing some work. She likes to get under the table and play while I work. She will tickle my feet and legs sometimes while she is down there. She she was tickling my feet and I would just laugh and carry on with her. When I got up, I looked down and saw that she was drawing on my socks with another permanent marker!!!!! My socks were covered. Trust me all the markers are put away and hopefully she will not find another! I hope this phase is over!
December 20th, Marty and I took the kids to see Santa after church. Santa didn't come until 1:00 but we lined up around 12, thank goodness!! The line behind us was soooo long! It wasn't easy waiting so long for Santa. Lily Grace was so anxious and Cooper got really upset once but finally feel asleep. To keep Lily Grace busy, I took her to ride the train and let her write Santa few letters. She was so excited to see Santa and when we asked her what she was going to ask Santa for, she would say "A truck!". (I don't know where that came from.) But as soon as we passed through the gate, LG went hysterical! She flipped out, screaming and crying and would NOT even touch Santa. As you can see in the picture, Marty and I had to take the picture with the kids and LG is trying her best to get as far from Santa as she can by trying to rip off my clothes, ha! It was one of those very awkward family moments. It was crazy!!! And I promise, the picture they took (and we spent money on - ugh) was much worse than this one with my camera. As soon as we left Santa, LG was perfectly fine and Cooper woke up smiling, AHHHHH! But it was very interesting, a great laugh, and a memory we will have forever.
These outfits were some hand-me-downs the kids got and of course I had to take a few pictures of them in the clothes for Pop. This was part of his Christmas present and let me tell you, he LOVED it! They were pretty funny pictures. Marty likes to aggravate Pop though by saying, "Would you become a Bama fan if Cooper and Tucker played on the Bama Football team or if Lily Grace played Basketball for Bama?" And Pop always says, "I would be the first in the stands and would be wearing a houndstooth hat!" HA! That would be a site!
One of my very close friends, Heather recently just had her baby boy on December15th. We are very excited because Cooper and him will be so close in age, so we just know they will be big buddies! We go to church with the Mills family and we are so happy for them! Love you guys!
