Happy Birthday Chloe

Last Saturday we went to Chloe's birthday party. Lily Grace and Chloe always have such a good time together. They are so much a like. Wish we could see them more!
Happy Birthday, Chloe!
LG had everyone laughing so hard when Chloe was opening her presents. Everytime she would open one LG would say, "I've got one of those at my house!." Seriously, every single present!!! And the funny thing, out of all the presents she probably only had 2 of the things at her house!

Cooper enjoyed his time at the party, too. He has been trying to crawl for the past few weeks. He is getting so close. He will lunge forward and he will rock back and forth. He just gets his foot stuck under him sometimes and can't really move. It won't be long though!! Here are a few pictures of him trying to move.
Here he goes....
....and he is trying to go! Just can't get that foot out!

Helping Daddy

The Grandparents gave Lily Grace a playground set for her birthday. It's not a one afternoon job to put together! Marty works on it every chance he can which is hard as busy as we stay. Lily Grace is really excited about it and loves helping her Daddy put it together.

How sweet is this?!

To be such a girly girl at times, she loves tools. She has really enjoyed actually building something - not just pretend.

Cooper wants to help, too!
My two precious babies :)

Happy Birthday to Mommy!

Saturday, May 29th, was my 26th birthday. It was the best yet! Every year gets better and better with my sweet little family. Marty surprised me with a yummy birthday cake. I don't know how he got the cake and gifts up to Berry without me seeing them. He's good! I love this picture because it looks like both kids are helping me blow the candle out. I didn't have anything to wish for though because how could life get any more perfect. I have a wonderful family that loves me, the best husband, two beautiful children, good health, a roof over my head, food to fill my belly, the best of friends, and so much more. God has truly blessed me!

That evening went on a date to Birmingham. We ate at Carrabba's. So GOOD!!! It was only the second time we have been alone since Cooper was born. It was so nice and very quiet. Not just because the kids weren't with us but because I didn't have a voice!! I had been sick and completely lost my voice. The quietest date ever!!! But I had the best company :)
I love you babe! Thank you for everything and loving me so much!

Congratulations Tucker!

Saturday Marty and I went to Tucker Burkhalter's graduation.
Congrats Tucker! We are proud of you!

Tucker's mom, Kim, is one of the best friends anyone could have! Love you girl!

A Sick Family

We have had a sick family here lately. It all started with Marty about two weeks ago getting all that sinus mess. As soon as he got rid of it, Cooper got it.......then LG.........and now me today. The kids are starting to do better because they have been on 3 prescriptions each since Monday. Cooper is still having a lot of wheezing going on and a snotty nose but we go back in about a week for a recheck. He also has an ear infection. He finally stopped throwing up everything he ate yesterday. He had lost 9 ozs from Monday to Wednesday's appointment. Lily Grace still has a lot of coughing but one great thing - her eczema is looking much better. I took her to an allergist on Monday and he gave her some new prescriptions and remedies to try. They seem to be working for now. I hope they continue to work!! We go in about a week to have allergy tests done. We are hoping to figure out what is causing the eczema. Cooper is actually starting to get some in the same places where LG's started. I sure do hope his never gets as bad as hers. Hopefully we will all be well soon!

This was at Cooper's doctor's appointment on Monday - doesn't look like my kids are too sick, do they? I promise they are!!
This is at Cooper's appointment on Wednesday.
LG took this picture and she was so proud.

First Finger Food

According to the books it is time to start introducing finger foods. We started with a biter biscuit. He liked it a lot. It was really messy! We have also tried bananas and puffs. He did not like these so much. We will keep trying though!

This Week

Cooper found LG's piano and loves it. When he figured out how to play it, he got so excited. Now he bangs on everything!

Kim had an appointment at a salon here in town so she dropped off Beau to play with LG. They always seem to have a good time together - especially playing with Dinosaurs!!

We noticed lots of lightening bugs outside and had to show them to LG. She thought they were so neat. We caught some and put them in a jar for a night light. We love summer time!
May 26th
She said, "I am going to find them with my telescope." (She made a pretend one with her hands.)

"You think that's funny"

This was taken last Wednesday, May 19th, on the way to church. Lily Grace sneezed for real and Cooper thought it was hilarious. She kept doing it over and over for him to get a laugh out of him. We were cracking up!!! There are so many other things that are funny to watch for. For example - LG holding a stick and a big leaf and then for some reason her licking her arm with a slurping noise. Don't know where in the world that came from! Anyway, we got a good laugh and we hope you all enjoy it, too!

That Bug Tickles Me!

Marty found a cute, fuzzy caterpillar for LG. It took her a little bit to finally get the courage to let it crawl on her. When it did she had so many different emotions all at once. She did say it tickled her though!

Missing Grandmama Sally

Oh my, if only Grandmama Sally could have known LG and LG could have known her. Grandmama would have be crazy over her. It is so funny though because even though LG never got the chance to meet her, she reminds us so much of her in many different ways. But then again, most people say I remind them of Grandmama.

I miss her everyday since she left this world and I can't wait to see her again one day in Heaven with our Lord. I know she is in a much better place than us and I can't wait to be there with her when it is time. This is a hard time though with it being Mother's day, Homecoming at our church - the church she loved so much, the week Pop passed away, and Grandmama's birthday. So we felt it was a good time to place flowers on her grave. LG didn't understand of course but one day I look forward to telling her all about her great Grandmother and what a wonderful woman she was. I know I am a better person just knowing her for twenty years of my life. Not just her but my Pop as well. What two wonderful, christian people that I will continue to look up to, miss and love forever.

No, it's not as pretty as Mother's cake decorating but it was my first cake to ever decorate!!!! At least it tasted great! :)

Thank You Becks!

Becky took me out for my birthday tonight. We had a yummy dinner at FIG, a little birthday cake in the car with a smokey candle, haha (a car lighter will not light a candle, just smoke up your car!!!), and then off to All Fired Up. It was a blast and it always is with my dear friend Becks!! I love you girl! Thank you for everything!!!!
