Lily Grace's First Tooth

Lily Grace got her first tooth today! This morning I didn't notice one and then this afternoon at MDO, I saw something shining in her mouth and there it was a new, very little, tooth. It has just broke the skin on the bottom gum. And it sure is sharp! She loves to chew on my shoulder, cheek or whatever she can get a hold of. That is going to have to stop because now it will hurt!! I couldn't ever get a picture of it though, but maybe I will have one soon. Just thought I would share another milestone Lily Grace has met.

8 Months

We have been so busy here lately that I completely forgot to update the blog when Lily Grace turned 8 months old! She isn't doing too many new things though. She still is just sitting and not moving anywhere. This does help me out right now but I know that it won't be long before she gets on the move. She is talking so much more now. She was saying Mama some and Baba and Dada a lot more. Now she is saying Mama Mama Mama all the time. The other night she woke up around midnight yelling Mama!!! This is just making the attachment situation a lot worse. She is so attached to me right now. She has to be touching me all the time and can't stand for anyone to take her. When she sees me walk away from her, she screams until I come back. She does great in Sunday school at church and as long as she doesn't hear my voice or see me walk by, she does good at Mom's Day Out. It has all been a little stressful. She has finally gotten her appetite back after the recent stomach virus. She eats so much baby food now and would eat more if we would let her. Oh, but my most favorite thing she does is she is still giving those big wet kisses. I love every one of them! I think it is the sweetest thing ever! And her cute giggle gets cuter everyday. Well, as I said before, not much new. She is still our sweet little girl and we love her more and more everyday. I never knew I could love someone so much!!

Lily Grace is Feeling Better

Lily Grace is feeling much better! Thank you for the prayers! Stomach virus is not fun with a little baby. You can tell she doesn't feel completely well but it's tons better than the other night! Marty and my Daddy had it first. It lasted seven days for them!!! Now my Mother and Skyler have it. Every year after Christmas it hits our family. I think this one has been the worse. It is lasting so long and makes them feel miserable. Kirsten and I are the only ones left and we hope we don't get it!!

The other day, when it was so warm, we went out for a little walk and I spotted all the leaves. This was the first time for Lily Grace to sit in leaves. She really didn't know what to think about them. She kept wanting to eat them though! She got very mad at me for taking them out of her mouth. Then we had problems with our dog Hogan trying to lay on us. It was a interesting experience with the leaves!

She wouldn't let go of that passy!

Here is where she got mad at me for snatching a leaf away from her mouth.

Sick Baby

Lily Grace is sick again but this time it is the stomach virus. She has been so good even though you can tell she doesn't feel very well. Just say a little prayer for our sick baby that she will get well soon!

Friday night we went to Berry to watch Uncle Skyler play basketball. They won by a lot! Lily Grace really enjoyed herself. She was so cute because every time the crowd would cheer and clap, so would she! She is getting good at mocking people and clapping is her favorite thing! Uncle Skyler, we had so much fun watching you and you did great! We can't wait to watch you again and we love you tons!!!

Standing So Good

Lily Grace may not be crawling yet but she can stand up great. She loves to stand up and now she thinks she is really big standing by her table all by herself!

Bubbles Bubbles

Saturday night we decided to play with some bubbles Lily Grace got for Christmas from her "boyfriend" at MDO. Where's the best place to play with them at? The bathtub! She LOVED them!!! She kept grabbing them and wondering where they went. We had a lot of fun playing with the bubbles.

Happy New Year!!!

Today we brought in the New Year great! We spent time together and played all day! Grandmommy, MawMaw, and Aunt Shelia came to Brent for a visit. It was so nice to see them because we miss them so much. We went out for lunch and had a wonderful time being together. After they left, we went to visit Grandmama and Granddaddy. It was so good to see them for a little while and Lily Grace enjoyed herself as they entertained her. She has been "talking" more and more everyday. She "talked" a whole bunch to them. She was really wanting them to know something. It was a fun day, bringing in the new year with some of our favorite people.
We had a very blessed 2007 year and we pray that we have a wonderful 2008. I can't imagine it getting any better but somehow it does everyday. God blessed us with a beautiful, healthy, sweet baby and lots of love, what else could we ask for? We hope you all have a wonderful year and we look forward to spending it with you!! WE LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

Grandmommy got us a web cam so that we can see each other more now. We are so excited because we miss them all so much. So Monday night, Grandmommy, Pop, Aunt Kirsten, and Uncle Skyler all crowded around the computer screen and talked to Lily Grace. Lily Grace absolutely loved it! She kept getting so excited watching and listening to them. This may be a nightly thing. Thank you so much Grandmommy, We love you!!

A Long Night

Sunday night after church, we went out to eat with 'Uncle' Andy and 'Aunt' BeckBeck at Red Lobster. I haven't been there in a year or so and now I have eaten there twice in one week! Well, after Lily Grace had already eaten all her own food (a big baby food meat and fruit), Andy wanted to feed her more! He fed her baked potato and let her dig her hands in the potato and feed herself. It was a mess. That's not all he fed her though. He gave her too much sweet tea! Every now and then, I will let her have a sip of mine when we eat, but not as much as he let her have. She was so wired, she didn't go to sleep until midnight! Thanks 'Uncle' Andy!! We do love 'Uncle' Andy and 'Aunt' BeckBeck tons though!

On the 26th, we met Grandmommy and MawMaw for a little shopping, lunch at Red Lobster and a movie. Yes, we took Lily Grace to her first movie. And we had to pick the longest movie ever!! It was 2 hours and 6 minutes long! She slept for about 45 minutes and watched the rest of it. I was really worried about taking her but she did very good. It was a fun first for us!

Lily Grace has learned to stick her tongue out and she does the funniest thing with it! I can't explain it but you have to see it!

More Stocking Stuffers

Christmas Day afternoon, we went back to visit Grandmommy and Pop so that we could finish Christmas with them. They gave us our Christmas stockings. We love Christmas stockings!!

Mommy and Daddy love Christmas Stockings too!!

On Christmas day, we had lunch with the entire James family at Uncle Joe and Aunt Margaret's house. We had a delicious meal and Lily Grace loved playing with all her cousins!

Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning was so much fun at our house. Lily Grace woke up around 8 o'clock ready to open presents. She gave us a little gift by sleeping late! It was a wonderful experience watching our child open up presents on her first Christmas. We will never forget that morning!

Christmas was so much fun!

Santa Came to Visit

When we got home Christmas Eve, we heard a knock at the door and it was Santa!!! Lily Grace really didn't know what to think about him. He reminded her a lot of Daddy! Every year on Christmas Eve since Marty and I met, he has dressed up like Santa for a few cute pictures. This year was a little more fun having Lily Grace!

For Christmas Eve evening, we spent it with Pop's side of the family at Uncle Steve and Aunt Cheryl's house. It was great to see everyone and have some fun playing a "dirty" little game - Dirty Santa.

Deavours Family Christmas

Christmas Eve afternoon, we had Christmas with my immediate family at Grandmommy's. Lily Grace got lots of fun toys to play with and pretty clothes. Her favorite was probably the Leap Pad "baby computer" and the BIG counting Lily. My favorite of her toys was the beautiful GOTZ doll. Thank you all for all the gifts!

Look how pretty her doll is! Lily Grace wanted her out if the box.

She really loved Lily from Aunt Kirsten. She has a smaller one that we have to carry everywhere, now she has a really big one.

Christmas wears Pop out!!!
