Playing Outside

Saturday afternoon, we got to play in the pool again and catch a few rays. And this time Daddy got to join us! We had a lot of fun playing in the water and laying out together!

It's hot out here!

Look at that hair!

She never would stand or sit on this water mat. She would run as fast as she could to get through it. It was too cute!

A New Outfit

I have really been wanting to make Lily Grace an outfit for a while now, so I finally got some fabric and headed to Maw Maw's house Friday! I was so excited and thank you so much Maw Maw for all your help!! We had a wonderful time spending the entire day with Maw Maw and Granddaddy! And we had the best lunch and supper with chicken and dumplings and fresh veggies from Granddaddy's garden. It was a great day!! Here are a few pictures of Lily Grace in her new outfit.

First Corn on the Cob

Last night for supper I gave Lily Grace some mashed potatoes and meatloaf. She ate all of that quick and was not satisfied. She kept crying and crying while reaching for my plate. I finally put it in front of her and she grabbed my corn on the cob! She loved it!! I just didn't think of giving her one but I guess from now on I will have to!

Marty and I helped with Family Night and Devotional at the home of our friends Joe and Alexa Barger. We had a great time fellowshiping and Lily Grace loved playing with all the kids!

Scrapbooking Night

I have started a little "Scrapbooking Club" at my church once a month. We get together on a Friday night and scrapbook until about 2 or 3 in the morning! We have an awesome time talking, snacking, and of course SCRAPBOOKING! It is my most favorite hobby, besides cooking! We have had a great turn out for the first 3 times with about 9 ladies the first time, 18 the second and 11 this past time (even after a full busy week of VBS!!!) If any of you ladies would like to join us please contact me and I will give you the details. We all share ideas, paper, stickers, tools, etc. It really is a lot of fun! And if you aren't a scrapbooker, then you can do arts and crafts or whatever you like. That is why I am posting. There is a lady that does not scrapbook but she loves to save junk or recycle things to make things. I took a picture of this rug she made from grocery sacks!!! It is unbelievably soft and super cute!! It is really big, which you cannot tell from the picture. Marty said I should have sat something beside it so that you could see the size but I didn't think of that at the time. She has made lots of different rugs and bags and lots more. I just thought it was too neat and I had to share.

VBS

This week was a busy week! We had VBS every night at church. That meant getting home after 10:00 every night. They were very long nights but we had a blast! It was awesome! The decorations, the skits, the lessons, everything was fabulous! I can't wait till next year! We have some very talented people at church that put this all together and I know next year will be even more exciting. You all will have to join us next year!

Here are a few pictures of us in our matching T's in front of some great scenes.

Marty and I did the puppets every night for each class. It was a lot of fun and the kids loved it! Marty was definitely the favorite because he put a big show on for everyone.

Indie P. Jones and his sidekick Fudge. They were hilarious!! They put on a 25 minute skit for the whole church at the beginning of each night and then another one at the end of each night.
McKenzie and Madelyn came each night, too. Lily Grace loved seeing them!
The girls giving hugsI think they were squeezing a little too tight because Lily Grace pushed them off!
Here are some more scenes throughout the church. The pictures are not near as good as the real life view! When the VBS would start, they would turn out all the lights and the lanterns would be all the light through the hallways. It was just like you were walking through a cave. Every wall was completely covered! It was amazing!!

Yesterday, I took Lily Grace to meet Brandi and the kids for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. It was so great to see them all. We enjoyed lunch and Lily Grace loved seeing the kids. I hope to see them very soon! We love them tons!

I love all my precious nephews and niece and especially my sweet baby!

Madi and Lily Grace

Braiden is getting so big! Every time we see him, he has changed so much! He is too cute!

Hanging With the Big Kids

Like I posted earlier, Lily Grace is really keeping up with the older MDO kids now. Wednesday, she walked with them to class and sat down in the chair at the table with them all. She sat there for the entire snack time just like a big girl! She is still drinking that bottle though. I don't know how to get her weaned from that!

Staying Cool

Tuesday morning we went outside to get into the pool Uncle Ken gave Lily Grace for her birthday. It is so neat! It has a shade over it so that we don't even have to worry about her getting burnt. We also put a mat that sprayed out water in the bottom of the pool that Grandmama gave her. Lily Grace was very unsure about it all but she warmed up to it pretty quick. She had lots of fun splashing and playing with her beach toys. We will definitely make this a weekly thing!

Back to MDO

We started back to Mom's Day Out Monday. I have to tell the truth, I love being a director at MDO but I sure did enjoy the weeks off, spending everyday with my sweet girl!! At least my summer program is only two days a week!

I didn't know how Lily Grace would be at MDO since she has started walking around. WOW! She never slowed up all day long! It was too cute her walking around and playing with all the big kids. A few weeks ago, she was sitting there watching them run around her, now she is right in the middle of them all! It is unbelievable how she turned into a toddler over night. She is growing up way too fast! I wish there was some way to stop her!

Always talking on a phone! "A Little Sally!"

She is definitely going to be a climber. I turned around one time and turned back around to see her all the way at the top of the slide! I could not believe she climb all the way up! I guess she watched all the other kids do it and she wanted to, too! Then she would slide back down on her belly. Scary for me, fun for her!

Sunday Lunch

Since we could not go eat with the Deavours' Sunday for lunch, we ate out with Uncle Andy and Aunt Becky. We always have a blast with these two! Our friendship grows more and more each day with them and we look forward to many years of friendship with them. They are awesome! We love you guys!

Lily Grace loves Alfredo at Olive Garden! It was very Messy!!! Lily Grace really wanted Aunt Beck Beck to eat some of her Alfredo!
Lily Grace loves her "Adopted Uncle and Aunt"!!!
