I'd Rather Play in a Box

Lily Grace found this box that Aunt Brandi brought some things in for us. She crawled in and I didn't think we were ever going to get her out! She was counting these pieces putting them in their box. Then she would take them out and start counting them one by one again. She wasn't actually saying the numbers but it was just like she was counting! It sounded like she was counting them all with the number 3. It was too cute.
Oooooo
This is Lily Grace's sneaky look!

Weekend with the Cousins

Uncle Patrick, Aunt Brandi, Brennon, Madilyn, and Braiden all came down last Friday night to spend the night with us. We had a blast! Friday night Brandi and I went to scrapbooking at my church while the boys played with the kids. It looks like they had a great time! Pat got more pictures that I hope will be on their blog soon.

Madi loves to read to Lily Grace...

And Lily Grace loves to listen to her!

I just thought these pictures were to sweet!

The next morning, I cooked us all a breakfast and we headed to Tuscaloosa. We met up with Lily Grace's Pre-K group from church a the park. We play for about an hour before it was time to go watch the Bama game.

Lily Grace clearly loves her big cousin Madi!

I always get this picture when we get together but it is always so hard to get both of them to look at the camera!! HA!
This picture was so funny to me!
This is a big slide!! Whoa!
Oh My!!
This is how she landed after going down.

Lil' B is such a....
CUTIE PIE!!
He's going to go down the slide now!
Brennon is not into taking too many pictures anymore so this was about the only one I got of him.
After the park we went to Wings to eat lunch and watch the game. The girls and Lil' B all went shopping close to half time while the boys kept watching. We had a wonderful time as always and can't wait to another weekend of fun with the cousins! We love you all!

I like Mommy's Cup!

I got me a new thermos at the beach to carry around with me so that I will drink more water. Well, if Lily Grace is around I don't get to drink it! She wants it and usually will drink the whole thing!! At least she's getting her water!
It's almost big as her!!

The sippy cups are not a problem anymore. She is now drinking out of anything: straws, sippys, cups, whatever she can get her hands on!

Lily Grace is still crazy over animals. Mrs. Glee gave her lots of new animals to play with and she loves them. She can say almost all their names and all the sounds. A few of the animals and sounds she can say are: cow (her favorite), moo, goat, sheep, baaa, pig, duck, quack, ssssss for the snake sound, the elephant noise, roar like a lion, dog, arf, kitty cat, meow.

This is Mrs. Glee, my sweet, sweet friend. She has a little boy Weston that is close to Lily Grace's age. They play so good together. Weston goes to my preschool and now me and Glee have become great friends. Her husband, Charlie works with Marty and now we all get together once a month to spend time together. We love the Burnett's dearly! Lily Grace says thank you Mrs. Glee for all my goodies!

While We Were Gone

While Marty and I were gone to the beach, she stayed with Grandmommy and Pop. I asked them to please take pictures and they did take a few. It looked like she had a great time! I know it was good for her to be around the whole family while Mommy wasn't around because everyone knows how attached to the hip she can be! Thank y'all for taking care of my baby while we were gone!! I know she had a wonderful time! We love y'all!

Giving love to Houston, how sweet!

Hmmm, which one do I want first?

I was told she loved the funnel cake and the nachos and cheese!
It was hard for me to believe this but everyone told me that even Granddaddy was trying to hide the food from Lily Grace cause he thought she was eating too much!! Granddaddy is usually trying to stuff the babies so she must have been really eating a lot!!
Looks like she was having lots of fun!
I hope y'all enjoyed her as much as she enjoyed being with y'all! I know it was a special time for you all!

Mommy and Daddy brought Lily Grace another Build-A-Bear creation home. This time it was a dog named Spot. She loved him. That has now become our tradition to bring her one from trips that she is not with us to show her how much we missed her and was thinking of her the whole time! We love you darling!

Get Away Trip

This post may be very boring to you all because Lily Grace will not be in it! We got the opportunity to take a beach trip. It was a very hard decision if we should take Lily Grace or not. I prayed a lot about it and cried a lot about it, but finally the decision was made, we would go ALONE! I thought it would be awful and I would cry horribly leaving her, but it actually wasn't that bad! She looked me in the eyes with the sweetest little face, listened to everything I said, and gave me 6 of the sweetest kisses. I think it wasn't that hard saying goodbye because it was a much needed trip. It was the best thing we have done. I honestly now believe parents need to get away for a couple of days every now and then, by themselves to remember there is a marriage and once before there were only two of you before the kids and the crazy, busy life there is now. Don't get me wrong, I did miss her terribly but I knew she was having a great time at Grandmommy and Pop's house, and Marty and I were having a great time alone, which I can't remember the last time happened! It was a wonderful trip and by Sunday we were re energized and ready to come home to see our greatest joy!

We may not have picked the best time for going to the beach because we went the weekend Hurricane Ike came through. It didn't affect us too much though. The winds were strong and the waves were high but the sun shine was beautiful and we didn't get any rain. Here are a few pictures of some flooding though. This a parking lot at one of the stores.

You can't even see the side of the highway!

This is the street beside the Original Oyster House. WOW, it looks like a river!
Here is the Oyster House's parking lot. That was one thing the did affect us, we could not eat there during our visit! And we ALWAYS eat there because it is a favorite.
Look at the bench at the Oyster House. You can see how high the water was!

We ate at the Hangout Friday night. This was behind there while we were waiting on our food. The wind was about to blow me away!
It made Marty look like he gained a little weight while down there!
This picture really does not do it justice for how high the waves really were! They were about 8 feet higher than usual. We definitely did not go out there!
Saturday we went shopping at the Wharf. We spent the majority of our time out there. We went everyday! Love, love, love that place!
Saturday afternoon we finally got out to the beach. I think we are the whitest people at the beach! We only stayed an hour and a half and we got a lot of sun. The wind was so strong!

Saturday night we got ready to go back to the Wharf to eat at Guy Harvey's.

We went to Guy Harvey's to eat so we could watch the Auburn Game and Bama game at the same time. It was a lot of fun!! It is an awesome restaurant! The crab legs were divine!

Ready for church Sunday morning

After church we got ready to head home. We went back to eat for the second time down there at Red's, our new FAVORITE restaurant at the beach! I have never had sushi like that in my life! We have talked about driving down there just to eat (if gas wasn't so high). They have lots more delicious foods besides sushi, because if you know Marty, you know he can't eat it. He loved both of his meals there too. We can't wait for the next beach trip just to eat there! The second time we went, the owner asked us if we wanted our "usual booth". He is from Tuscaloosa, so maybe we could talk him into opening a Red's around here!
On the way home, we stopped by the outlets of course for a little shopping. We had a great trip and look forward to it again!

A New Kitty

Grandmommy and Pop got a new kitty cat (not by choice). It showed up one day and Lily Grace has fallen in love with him or her (not sure which one). And the cat actually loves Lily Grace. They are both very rough on each other. I have never seen a tougher cat! Lily Grace loves all animals so much. She doesn't care on the size or appearance. She has no fear!

We Made It!!

We actually made it through an entire Berry football game!!! It was so much different from last year. If you remember, Lily Grace screamed and cried every time the crowd would cheer and we usually left way before half time. Friday night at Uncle Skyler's game, she had the best time. She cheered and clapped when the crowd did and she loved climbing up and down the bleachers. Mommy did not like this very much though! We had a great time and Uncle Skyler made his first varsity catch!! GO Uncle Skyler!!

Watching the Game

You can see that she is holding her cow. Well, next time I don't think we will be taking toys! We had to climb under the bleachers many, many times because she kept dropping them! Not a good idea!

We missed Daddy so much! He stayed at Grandmommy and Pop's house because he was so sick!

She loved watching the band with Angie.

Warm Sheets

The other night, the sheets came out of the dryer at the same time Lily Grace came out of the bath. Perfect timing! Lily Grace loved rolling around in the warm sheets. How sweet!
