Happy Father's Day

We had a great day on Father's Day. We got to see all the special men in our lives, have a huge, delicious dinner of dressing, vegetables, desserts and so much more, and spend time with family. What a blessed day!

Marty, thank you for being the best Daddy in the world to our daughter. Lily Grace is so lucky to have you in her life and Cooper is, too! You are wonderful to us all and we could not imagine life without you in it. We love you so much and hope you enjoyed your Father's Day!

I love you Daddy! Happy Father's Day! Thank you for everything you do!

We were so happy Granddaddy and MawMaw came to spend Father's Day lunch with us! As you can see, Lily Grace did not want to take a picture at this time. Tucker couldn't take his eyes off of her and we are very tickled!

Uncle Rip also came down for a visit. It was so wonderful to see him. He means so much to us and has done so much for us kids that it really meant a lot to be able to spend time with him on Father's Day.

I love you Uncle Rip!!

On our way home we stopped by to wish Granddaddy a Happy Father's Day. Lily Grace was just not in the mood for pictures on this day!! The last one is funny.

We hope you had a great day Granddaddy!! We love you so much and thank you for everything you do for us! Happy Father's Day to you!!

Doctor Visit

Thursday afternoon I went for my monthly baby check-up. Everything looked great! My belly bump has all of a sudden bloomed. I have gained a total of 5.6 pounds and the sickness has eased up somewhat. I am still sick everyday and especially at night but I do have some sick free hours of the day now! YEA!! I will take it! The acid reflux is still there and I don't expect it to ease up at all. That was the worse with Lily Grace. I had to sleep in the recliner almost every night. As of now I am still in the bed though! My next doctors appointment is in 4 weeks and it will be the dreaded sugar test. Tuesday I was 22 weeks pregnant so that means less than 18 weeks to go!!! We are so excited about the arrival of our little Coop!

I am still not sure if Lily Grace understands. We ask her "Where is Cooper?" and she says in the sweetest little voice, "In Mommy's belly." And she was give him a kiss sometimes and rub my belly but I just don't know if it has really clicked with her. I think she may be too young for that. She has always been very attached to me but had started becoming much more independent until the last few weeks. She is back to Mommy's hip! I just wonder if she is now starting to sense something may be up? It should all be a very interesting experience but we are so looking forward to it all! :)

Fun in the Sun

We all know how HOT it has been here lately. And Lily Grace just loves to be outside but it is already so hot by 9 in the morning and the bugs are so bad late in the evening that it makes it hard for us to get outside as much as we like. So Thursday I finally filled the pool up with water for the first time. We could actually stand the heat being in the water! Now, after two hours of sitting out there, the water felt like bath water and it wasn't as nice but for two hours it was great! I thought two hours was plenty of time out in the sun but of course Lily Grace thought other wise. It took about 20 minutes to get her in the water and about 10 minutes to get her to sit in it, but once she did she had a blast. We have to start doing this lots more this summer!!

Peanut Butter

The other day at Michael's I bought her this $1.49 ceramic cat because she just fell in love with it. Then Thursday morning I gave Lily Grace some peanut butter to eat with some crackers. I heard her giggling in the other room and I went to see what it was all about and she had painted the cat's eyes and nose with the peanut butter! She is so funny.

Granddaddy also stopped by for a little visit Thursday morning which was great! Lily Grace has all of a sudden in the past week become very picky in the morning time on what she wants to eat for breakfast. She used to eat so good for all meals but it has been different this week in the mornings. I tried Fruit Loops this morning and Granddaddy helped her eat it! He got her to pick out certain colors to eat for each bite. I was so happy she finally ate something. Thank you Granddaddy! She is still eating great for lunch, dinner and snacks but hopefully we will get back to having good breakfast meals, too!

Here we are at VBS at our church Wednesday night. It was lots of fun and the theme was awesome! We had a great time and just wish we could have been there every night. We will make sure every night of the week is open for us next year!
After watching the plays, the little ones went to the arts and crafts room. Here is Lily Grace playing in the shaving cream. She wasn't so excited about getting it on her hands but she loved "painting" with a paintbrush. She was the last child we got cleaned up because we couldn't get her to stop and give up the paintbrush!

Picture Time

We have scheduled pictures a few times with Kim since Lily Grace turned two but it just could never work out because of the weather. Well, we finally got to do it yesterday morning. Yes, it was VERY hot! We started at 9 o'clock and it was already humid out there. Lily Grace does not like getting her picture taken most of the time. We have had a very hard time with her these past two years with taking portraits. She whined and fussed and even cried a lot of the time but by looking at the pictures you would never know it! Kim did awesome! I can't believe all the pictures she got! All of Lily Grace's pictures looked great but the pictures with Marty and me in them did not look so good. And it was nothing because of Kim, we just didn't look right! So when you look at them, overlook those. I guess us two were just having a bad picture day, HA! Just look at Lily Grace :) Here are two samples of what you will see. Go to Kim's website- www.kimlawsonphotography.com to see the rest of them. When you enter the site, click on clients and then the password is james. I am going to have a hard time choosing because all of Lily Grace were so good!! Thank you Kim for your hard work and such wonderful pictures of our little girl. It really means a lot to us.

Bath Time

We have so many pictures of Lily Grace in the bath tub, but they always make fun pictures! And Lily Grace actually smiles and takes good ones in there. The girl loves bath time!

You can see her bruise pretty good in these pictures. She did this a while ago now. We were playing outside one morning and she was on her little four wheeler. I usually walk beside her while she is on it but she took off before I could get close to her and ran off the driveway! The left two wheels went off so she fell over sideways and the four wheeler landed on her. It was all in very slow motion. She cried for a little bit but this was the only place she got hurt. The bruise has actually gotten a lot better here in these pictures. It was pretty dark for a while. I wonder when it will go away?

I just love that smile!

Down at Grandmama's

Monday night we were so excited to have Pat, Brandi and the kids down for a visit at Grandmama's house! It was so great to see them and spend a little time with them. Lily Grace really enjoyed playing with the kids. Hopefully we will see them again very soon!
We miss and love you guys!!
The kids were all looking for crickets together. How cute is that?!

Madi found one!!! I love this picture of all four of them together.

Braiden is such a cute and has grown up so much every time we see him. He is pointing out the horse. He is not scared of anything! I think he would have went in the fence with Stormy if he could have!
Cute little Cousins
Lily Grace has a bug!
You have to look close but if you look in the middle of the tree you will see Brennon up in it!! He was very brave and went way up there!
Swinging with Madi
I enjoyed playing air hockey with Madi. She was really good!
We were so sad they couldn't make it to Lily Grace's party this year. They brought her gift Monday night. She got a spinning sprinkler and a....
....bubble lawn mower! We are playing with both of them in the morning!!! Can't wait!
It was great to see you guys and can't wait to get together again! Thank you Grandmama for the yummy pound cake and strawberries! It made the night even better! And we missed you Granddaddy so much!

Pump It Up!

Sunday afternoon we went to the Pelham Pump It Up. Marty's cousin, Mollis, was down visiting with her two little boys Will and Parker. She rented a party at the Pump it up to get the kids together in the family. We had a blast!! It is the nicest facility and so clean! It would be the worth the drive to have a birthday party there. It was so good to see Mollis and the boys because it has been a very long time since we have seen them. It was also great to see Jay, Kerri and Micah and the uncles and aunts! Thank you Mollis for inviting us and we can't wait to see you guys again. The boys have grown so much and I hope it will be much sooner when we see you all again!

When we got to the first room, Lily Grace got right in with me. But as soon as other kids started jumping, she got scared and wouldn't get back in.
She found this car and I had to push her around the first room just about the whole time. Finally, right before we were supposed to move to the next room she got back in with me and then she cried because she didn't want to leave!! Ugh!
This is Mollis
Once we got to the next room, she got right in to play with the balls. She had so much fun and it was very hard to get her out once we had to leave.

She liked to run and jump on us to knock us down. Here she is knocking Daddy down.
Here she is knocking Mommy down. What kind of face is that?!?!
The boys were so fast running around, it as hard to catch a picture. I finally caught one of Parker!
Daddy and Lily Grace shooting some hoops. Do you know how much Marty loved this?!
Lily Grace begged Grandmama to get in with us. And she did! Lily Grace tried running and knocking her down too but Grandmama was too strong :) Lily Grace loved playing with her in there!
A picture of most of the group together.
Here are Mollis and Kerri's boys. Will, Micah, and Parker. Cute little cousins!
This is Kerri. Her and Mollis are sisters.
Micah with cupcake face as Lily Grace would call it :)

Happy Birthday McKenzie!

First of all, I cannot believe McKenzie is 9 years old!!! This little girl I used to babysit is no longer a baby! It breaks my heart! She had a party Saturday at the lake and it was a lot of fun. We didn't get there till 5 o'clock so we didn't get to swim but it was great to see the family! Lane's cat of 17 years passed away last week, so McKenzie asked everyone to give her money instead of gifts so that she could donate it to the animal foundation in Tuscaloosa. They plan to adopt a puppy from there soon. How sweet! Hope you had a great birthday McKenzie! We love you!
Lily Grace really enjoyed jumping on the trampoline!

And she really like the icing on the cookies :)

Lunch with Taylor

I graduated with Taylor from Alabama. She lives in Hayden, near Cullman, and we try to get together at least twice a year to catch up. We ate at Cafe Lazio in Patton Creek. It was the first time I had ever eaten there and it was so good! I can't wait to go back! It was so great seeing her. I wish we lived closer so we could see each other even more! We have a big reunion planned next month for all the girls in our class. Can't wait!!!
