Costume Party

Friday night we went to a costume party at our friends Andy and Becky's house. It was an "Adults Only" party, so it was a great night to get away from all the kids. We had the best time. I think my face is still sore from us laughing so much! We ate and played games and just had a great night spending time with our friends. All the costumes were great but I think Marty was the hit of the party! He even won best costume! We went as Sonny and Cher but of course Marty had to be Cher because of the height issue. Well, Marty as a woman is not the prettiest sight! The hair underneath the pantyhose topped the costume off! It was hilarious. And I know that I am definitely not the best looking man but... the pictures say it all!

Marty and Peyton as Sonny and Cher. I wish you could see the hair on his legs up close!!

This was too cute! Can you tell who they are? Joe and Alexa as Michael Vick and his dog!!!

Becky as Agasha and Kellie as an Old Hag

Brandy as Beth from the Bounty Hunter

Brian as Jack Sparrow

Andy had the most comfortable costume at the party, he was a mattress.Kerri and her inflatable horse! Randy, Mandy, Russell, and Jennifer - The Cast of Gilligan's Island

Berry Fall Festival

Thursday night we went to Berry's Fall Festival. It was so much fun! Lily Grace loved every second of watching all the kids running around. She didn't even have her usual nap and never got fussy. She loved watching Grandmommy up on the stage announcing contestants in the talent show. She hardly took her eyes off of her. We entered her in the costume contest and she won 3rd place. There were the cutest costumes and especially our cousin's Hudson's. He won 1st place! We had a really exciting time and were glad to get to spend an extra night at Pop and Grandmommy's house!! And we were extra excited that Daddy could make it to the Festival and spend the night with us!

We're Matching!

Wednesday night for church, Lily Grace and I wore matching outfits. We thought it was too cute! We have lots of matching velour outfits and I think they are going to be our favorite thing to wear because they are so warm and comfy!

Over the Weekend

Lily Grace and Grandmommy in Chili's. Lily G has gotten into pulling your hair and earrings or whatever else she can grab on you. Here she was pulling Grandmommy's earring.

This past weekend we went to Berry. Friday night we went to the Berry Football game and the boys did great! They beat Parrish really big! Lily Grace had a great time, she was so good. We ended up having to leave with only a little of the game left because Lily Grace's ears and chubby cheeks were getting cold. We didn't realize how cold it was going to get!
Saturday morning we went to take Lily Grace's fall pictures. Kim Lawson took them and did great! You can go to the website to look at them. http://kimlawsonphotography.com/iphoto/main2.cfm
Then you go into the gallery and scroll down to Fall Special/October 20th, Lily Grace is the first three pictures. Then after the pictures Mother, Lily Grace, and I went shopping and out to lunch while Marty and Skyler went to the Bama game. Marty thought he might could get convert him into a Bama fan but there is just no converting us!
Sunday we went to church with Mother and Dad to hear the new preacher. He is such a great preacher. They are really blessed to have him! We also took some pictures of Lily Grace in her Halloween costume. They are so cute and will be coming your way soon! It was such a fun weekend and we have another exciting one coming up next weekend!

Happy Birthday Uncle Skyler!!

We hope you have a wonderful birthday! We love you so much!!
The family went out to eat for Skyler's Birthday at our favorite place - Tokyo. This time Lily Grace loved it! She had so much fun watching the show. It was so cute. Our cook was so funny and we had a great time celebrating Uncle Skyler's birthday!

Champs!

We wanted to congratulate Uncle Skyler and the rest of the Berry Jr. High team on their big win last night. We went to watch the championship game and it was very exciting! It came down to the wire and kept us on our toes. Berry pulled out the win and are the Conference Champs! Uncle Skyler played great! Lily Grace had a wonderful time watching him, sitting in Grandmommy's lap and playing with her cousins Houston and Hudson. I'm thinking she may be a little "tomboy" because she plays with the boys all the time in the family and at Mom's Day Out. That's okay cause so was her Mommy when she was little!! We can have a girly girl with a little "tomboy" on the side!

Lily Grace is rolling over so good now, not just "kinda" but for real!! She doesn't even start with her arm under her body anymore. We never put her on her belly so today I was going to just turn her over for a few minutes and she flipped right back over! I videoed her the second time so I really need to get the video on here sometime. After videoing her I thought that we needed to watch the videos from day one of Lily Grace. Wow has she changed! It is amazing. It really breaks my heart though to see how fast time has flown by. I am so glad that we have been videoing all along the way and especially the delivery day because it really brought back great memories. And I have the worst memory and I had forgotten so many of those days. We will cherish those videos forever.

We finally got Lily Grace an Exersaucer! She loves that thing so much. She thinks she is such a big girl! Mom's Day Out was closed today, so it helped me out some today!
Lily Grace ate green beans for the first time tonight. She loved these, too. I think we are going to have a Veggie Baby as much as she loves the vegetables.

Prayer Requests

I have a couple of prayer requests. First of all, Marty's cousin, Justin Cottingham, has a beautiful little girl that has cancer. It is on her kidney and it is called a Wilms' Tumor. She is three years old and the sweetest thing! She had her first surgery this morning and everything went well. This all happened very quickly. Last week she was healthy and then one morning there was blood in her diaper and they found out she had cancer. Please keep Carys Jo in your prayers. And keep her parents Justin and Alison and little brother Sawyer in your prayers as well. As a parent you never think something like this will happen to your child and I cannot begin to imagine what they are going through right now. They are at Children's Hospital and will be there for quite a while. You can visit their webpage -http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/carysjocottingham. Please keep this family in your prayers!

Another prayer request is Marty's cousin Michael Crocker's wife, Julie. She is due December 25th with a baby girl. She is in the hospital right now and will be on bed rest from here on out. They are giving her steroids to help build the baby's lungs just in case she was to come soon. Her condition is very scary. I know pregnancy is scary enough when everything is going great so I can't imagine how she is feeling. They also have a three year old little boy named Justin. Please keep this family in your prayers, too. Thank you so much!

Congratulations "Aunt" KK

I threw Kendra a Housewarming Party today for all her family and friends. It was a lot of fun and a great turn out! Her house is beautiful and we are so happy for her and Jeremy. Lily Grace enjoyed herself spending time with Grandmommy and the rest of the family but she loved playing with her cousins Ben, Levi and Houston. She was getting so mad because she couldn't get up and do the same things they were. It won't be long!! We also want to congratulate Kendra for recently graduating from Radiology school. It is such a great accomplishment and we are so proud of her. We Love You "Aunt" KK!!!

Mommy and Lily Grace

Lily Grace and Ben. She loved playing with him! It was too cute, she just kept grabbing him and laughing. Then she kept trying to eat his shoe! I think Ben started getting aggravated with her and started hitting her back. I wish I would have had the video camera! Oh, and Ben will have a new baby sister in February. We are excited about Baby Beth and for Mary Katherine, Luke and Ben. It will be good to have another little girl on that side of the family.

Mommy, Kendra and Angie

It was a great day, spending time with the ones we love!!

Happy Tuesday

Today was a great day because we had some wonderful visitors! "Aunt" Crystal came to play with Lily Grace and go out for lunch. We really enjoyed her company and it was great to catch up with her. Her wedding planning is very exciting. Then tonight Grandmommy and MawMaw came down to see us. Marty cooked us a delicious dinner. Lily Grace loved seeing them both. It is really hard for the whole family living so far away from each other but we make sure see each other every few days. They hate being away from Lily Grace for more than a day, especially Grandmommy. If they could, they would make sure to see us everyday!

5 Months Old

Another month has flown by and Lily Grace is 5 months old today. The big change over the past month was adding baby food to her diet. This afternoon we added peas. She loved them! So far we are doing good on baby food. She is loving it all. She is now eating cereal in the morning and nursing, then a half jar of baby food at lunch with a bottle, a bottle in the afternoon, a whole jar of baby food at dinner with a bottle, and then she nurses one more time before she goes to bed. She is still sleeping 10 to 12 hours throughout the night. We really are very lucky on that! She is very vocal and loves getting attention! I love what she is doing when she hasn't seen someone she loves in a while. For example, when Daddy gets home from work she will start flapping her arms and legs, smiling and squealing because she is so happy to see him. It really makes you feel great when she does this. I think she is beginning to really learn and remember who people are that she sees a lot. This past weekend she really got attached to her Uncle Skyler. She loves her little friends at church and Mom's Day Out. She can watch kids and her dog Hogan all day! She really wants a show put on for her. She is fascinated with her hands. She will just turn them all around to look at them in true detail. It is the funniest thing! Lily Grace is so sweet. I really think she is the sweetest and best baby ever! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter. She still likes to watch television but not cartoons! She would much rather watch the news! I think because she likes real people. There is one kiddy show that she does like - Yo! Gabba Gabba, but only the song on it, "There's a Party in My Tummy". She will get so excited when it comes on. She loves music! So now I sing it every time I'm feeding her. Oh, and she loves the exersaucer at church and MDO. I have got to get one for her here at the house! I think it would help me out a lot! Well, I keep everyone up to date so much on here that there isn't too much new happening. She is just growing and changing everyday. Please come visit us anytime because I think it is so important for her to be around her family and friends as much as possible at this time! You may not think they notice or remember at this age but I really think they do!

This is the video of "There's a Party in my Tummy" that Lily Grace gets so excited when watching it!

A Sunday Afternoon Visit

While spending our usual Sunday afternoon at Grandmommy and Pop's house, we had a sweet visitor. Hudson stopped by to see Lily Grace.

Hudson gives Lily Grace some lovin'.

Hudson doesn't look too happy here! And Lily Grace is poking him in the eye!!

Look at those beautiful blue eyes! We want to congratulate Holley, Rodney, and Hudson on their new home they are building. It is going to be gorgeous and we are very happy for you all!

Lily Grace Has a New Cousin

Marty's brother's family has a new addition to their family! Brandi went into labor Friday afternoon and had Braiden Wesley James that evening around 9:00. We thank God for a healthy baby and Mother. He weighed 6 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19 inches long. We went to visit them Saturday and it was so wonderful to see them all! Braiden is a beautiful baby and we are so happy for them.

Look at his hair! I have never seen a baby with that thick of hair before. I just wish Lily Grace had it so she could wear a bow!!

Grandmama and Lily Grace

Lily Grace wore her first pair of shoes Friday night to the Berry ballgame. I thought they were just too cute! She wore them so well and could stand in them great! She has been standing up, of course with our support, since we left the hospital. She loves to stand up. I think she thinks she is big and in this little outfit she really does look like a big girl! I will be very surprised if she doesn't walk early! Oh, but her feet are so skinny and long. They look just like Grandmama Sally's and my feet besides the big toe which she got from Marty. Ha! She is already about to outgrow the size one!

Lily Grace sitting in Uncle Kenneth's lap watching the game. She loves watching the boys play! Maybe she will take after Mommy and be our little cheerleader!

Adding Carrots!

Last Thursday we added carrots to Lily Grace's menu. She loved these, too as you can tell in the picture. She is really reaching for them isn't she?! I just can't seem to keep the food coming fast enough for her!

This was that morning and she seemed a little more interested in eating her bib instead of her cereal!

Tummy Time

This was a picture I snapped last Thursday. She never likes to play on her tummy with the exception of this one day. She actually played for a good little while like this, so I had to take a picture of her since it usually doesn't happen much.
